Hi, I have a Durst CLS450 and need to replace the enlarger bulb. This seemed like a simple enough task except that there appear to be many different bulbs (from different manufacturers) with very different pricing. The price ranges from about $6 to about $50, and the specs appear the same. The brands are different though. The label on my bulb reads as follows:

USHIO
ELC 24V/250Watt
Japan M3B

Could the differences among the various bulbs be so great as to warrant the price differences?

Thanks,
Luigi

The halogen bulb you need is a basic ELC 24V/250 so go ahead and buy the $4.95 version, and get several at that price to keep on hand.

I just bought some enlarger bulbs from replacementlightbulbs.com . Can't beat his prices.
