You say they don't sell it (or make it impossible to actually buy)?
Hi Michealhave seen right now a sinar-version but not with shutter-release. pls explain. why here? cannot test with my RZ 180mm since tubes are seperated. another sad story but i can repair easily.
I think the RB lenses will cover 6x9. They cover 8x8 readily enough (that's the focusing screen size on the ProS and ProSD bodies), and they fill out the entire frame mask on the old pack film Polaroid backs for RB67.
Does make me wish it were quicker/easier to recalibrate a Kalart rangefinder, though.
If I recall, after cocking the RB67 shutter using the lever, one can trigger the shutter using a shutter release cable. One has to get the settings just right on the lens for this to occur.
A minor note - some RB lenses require a cable release to be inserted for mirror-up, there's no switch. Screwing the release in lifts the release port up, which disables the trigger from the camera to pop the shutter (if you've never seen that style and then buy an RB lens with it, it can be a surprise).you'd set the selector on the lens shutter to M (for Mirror Up),
Now i remember: Its for chinese Liere 67. Multiple cameras, hard to find and nowhere to buy. its very strange how chinese cameraproducer and its wholeseller are behaving. think its enough to visit photokina. without announcing or showing products online. ktcamera also under different name doesnt exist anymore. he showed a genious dual-lens-shiftpancam(multiple versions for different lenses also custom lenses) for 120/220-59mm image but i didnt know before travelling so had no money to buy. website also gone. multiple liere cams. maybe google helps. i have found some.
also the tiny MUP-Graflok 23/RB67-cam cannot be seen anymore on ebay. asked a seller to recover link/seller which i sent him.
when he should have shown me camera and help shooting he had no time since had to go to fleemarket. and his assistent didnt know anything. thats why one shot is offfocus. the second one not perfect in focus.
have prospectus. of shenlong360. nothing to do with this adapter.
skgrimes did an arca-conversion. seller photopro told lever would move too much.I have one of these, though I've not yet mounted it to a lens board. It works fine. I made sure to purchase one before the supply ran out.
And that's my plan, to mount it inside the deep recess of an Arca Swiss recessed 171mm lensboard. It's easy enough to pick a camera with a lensboard at least the size of the Mamiya lens adapter, cut a hole of the appropriate size in that lensboard, and then, mount the Mamiya adapter to the larger lensboard using a bolt and nut at each corner. (Size 6 nut and bolt?)
I figure that the lens will balance better with the adapter mounted inside a recessed lensboard. In that way, the rear of the lens will extend at least some distance behind the standard to offset the lens weight at the front.
If I recall, after cocking the RB67 shutter using the lever, one can trigger the shutter using a shutter release cable. One has to get the settings just right on the lens for this to occur.
What's amazing, is that some of the longer RB67 lenses will cover 4x5! Somewhere on the Mamiya website, one can find image circles for RB67 lenses. That said, I will probably use this with a digital back.
