As the title says, I'm looking for buy cheap films and some simple darkroom accessories as bowls, bottles to store chemicals etc. for cheap or good price. I'd prefer European stores because its faster and cheaper shipping. Only one site I remember clearly is macodirect.de Another site I lost was Danish there I couldn't believe prices of films. I don't even look at local websites here in Sweden.

Come with your tips. Thanks in advance

store chems - DIY from cast offs

If you are talking about stop bath and fixer, used liquid food containers are fine, as long as they are well labelled as to thier new contents. So look to your recycle bin first.

Developers do best in glass, although tinted glass is optional if they spend most of their time in the dark. I keep one shot amounts of developer in 225mL old glass yeast bottles, and have heard of groelsh (sp?) beer bottles being used as well. Look at other glass in the world around you before looking to the photo supply shop.

Hej tomasis

For equipment and accessories take a look at the photo and video section of blocket.se (under "Elektronik", naturally . There is a regular stream of darkroom kits at very reasonable prices - just wait until there is one close to you and snap it up. Sell on, or throw away, the bits you don't want. Tradera.com is also good for generic darkroom items like trays, beakers, tanks etc. Otherwise, a kitchen jug will hold solutions just as well as one made for darkroom use: it's more important to be consistent than to be accurate.

For consumables the cheapest suppliers I have found are in Germany, although with the current low dollar it is always worth checking B+H in the USA for film and darkroom paper (especially colour). But for chemicals and ordinary B+W papers I usually head for Fotoimpex.de.

For alt process and archival mounting/storage Silverprint in London are probably the best (www.silverprint.co.uk), but they are not the most efficient people to deal with at a distance.

Hello Soeren,

very good list. In addition:

The lowest prices for films, papers and chemistry you get generally here:
www.nordfoto.de (their website is online again)
www.phobatec.de
www.macodirekt.de

Best regards,
Jana

and of course the Dutch www.fotohuisrovo.nl
Has a lot of film (also cheap) and paper, also other darkroomsupplies.
As an aside, Robert Vonk, the owner, is always very helpful and a pleasure to deal with
