I am in the process of restoring an old Nikon FG. I have gotten it mostly working, however, the film advance lever is missing the collar to hold the film advance lever down. The lever works smoothly, but if you hold the camera at an angle, the lever will slip out of the place it should be.

I have attached a photo (not mine, but same camera) of the part I am looking for.

I've had good luck w/ Ace hardware for things like this. Just bring the camera w/ you so you can try out the different washers they stock.....and they have thousands. The staff is quite used to people coming in w/ all manner of repair jobs besides the usual house hardware.

It's not just a washer, It's threaded inside. It's more like a nut.

I second Paul's suggestion...and will add shopgoodwill.com
Lots of "untested" (read: broken) cameras available there, including FG's.

FG was made by Cosina, not sure if that helps?

Not! The FG wasn't made by Cosina. It's made by Nikon. It was based on the EM which was Nikon first attempt at inexpensive camera which was also designed by Giorgetto Guigiaro.
The much newer Nikon FM10 and FE10 were made by Cosina.
