Nearly June and B&H is still displaying the same prices for Fuji films.

Where is this supposed price increase and when it is really coming?? Thought it would be by the end of April.

The price increase is for new orders from Fuji. You won't see the price increase until existing stock is sold down and the resellers have to buy more from Fuji. For some products, the price increase may have been small enough that the resellers just absorbed the price difference and make a little less money, for other items, the price will go up.

I didn't see much news about this around the internet, but Ilford also raised prices April 1st. You'll start to see that in various Ilford products as stuff sells out and more stock has to be ordered.

B&H was recently out of stock of both Velvia and Provia in 120 five packs (last two weeks). Price is the same after reordering.

Fuji’s Superia jumped to $19 for a three pack at Walmart around here.

what happened to Trendland ?

I have not missed him a bit.

Trendland seems to have gone on 'Restricted Access'

A breathe of fresh air. I hope he learns self control and resurrects himself as a good contributor. He has some good experience and ideas, just needs some self control.

Back on topic - B & H may be buying from a source that hasn't yet raised their prices.
And now off topic - I was wondering why I was seeing far fewer "ghost" posts in the unread post counter :whistling:

I still see some Japanese vendors selling Acros film via eBay. I may order another 3-pack. The last order came to the USA South in only 8 days.

There was a price increase in nearly all Fuji products but the amount of the increase was product and market dependent.

I would imagine that as new stock is purchased from Fuji then the price increase will appear in the retail prices. In some markets (countries) Fuji don't supply direct but through large wholesalers and price increase will only appear after they have depleted their older priced stock.

For example, I buy direct from Fuji in my country so the price increased on the date they notified me of.

Shortly after I posted this thread, B&H raised their prices by about $3 for each fuji emulsion. Coincidence?

Still only a %10 or less increase, but not the 30% I was expecting.

Exactly that. No further explanation needed.

+1.
We don`t need such trolls here. They are very bad for the discussion culture. He has damaged several other forums before. The forum owners there were forced to get him out to sustain their forums. But he has not learned anything from that, he just continued his bad behaviour here.

As per JCH 's post, from 1st July onwards effective

As so often with Fujifilm hater JCH, wrong information concerning Fuji. That is just the Japanese announcement text of the former global in English announcement published earlier. But it is the same price increase, not another one as he says. I have asked Fujifilm and they have confirmed that there is only one price increase.

As the Adox CEO has recently explained at the Helsinki photo fair, higher prices are needed in the film industry for long term sustainability, so that the manufacturers can invest in education of new staff, invest in new machines and products. Therefore it is very likely that the other film companies will follow in the future.
