Hi fellow Wisconsinites!
I know we are still reeling from that GHASTLY game yesterday, but I told Aggie that I would help her out with some info for the magazine. I still do not have the specifics of the info she needs, but I know in general, she is looking for local resources...places locally to buy film, get cameras repaired, rent darkroom space, etc.

Once I get the template from her of what is required, I'll post what we need to have in this thread!
TIA!!

photosupplies in milwaukee

Since I grew up in Chicago, I didn't think yesterday's game was ghastly at all. It's about time! Anyway, back to the topic. In the Milwaukee area where I live now, there are very few full service stores left. Crivello's in Brookfield and Shorewood is probably the best. Art's camera on Oklahoma Av and in Waukesha has an in store camera repair service which is ik. For film and processing, Ritz has been good for me. Darkroom space is a problem. The student association at UW-Milwaukee used to have a large darkroom which could be rented. I don't know if they still do. I've been meaning to find out. Other campuses in the UW system may have darkroom facilities too. If you're an alumnus or student this might be a good place to start. Good luck!

Hey All!
Looks like a couple other things Aggie would like to have are
* contacts (not the ones you put in your eyes) - someone to talk to at the shop/place that can help them.
* Galleries - presumably ones that often show photos of the analog variety.

I'm getting the list together. I'll check with others from different areas too.
Thanks for your help!

Badger Graphic Sales in Kaukauna is a great place, especially for large format shooters. I found out about them as follows. A good number of years ago, I was interested in getting an Arca Swiss camera. Since their US distributer is in Chicago, and since I was heading to Chicago anyway, I decided to pay them a visit. Luckily I phoned first. "I'm comming to Chicago, and I'd like to get a look at your F-line camera." "Sorry, we don't have any cameras." "Well, how about at a dealer?" "No, no one in Chicago has cameras in stock." "Where might I get a look at one?" "Kaukauna, WI." Go figure! Say "hi" to Jeff if you visit BGS. He's very friendly and knowledgble.
