I'm pretty deliberate about my film buying. I plan ahead and keep a bit in the freezer.

70% comes from West Photo (local brick & mortar) here in NE Minneapolis.
30% comes from Freestyle.

When I'm in Manhattan I will get film at B&H, but it's almost always something my local store doesn't carry.

Freestyle or B&H. Not Adorama any more after their "bait-and-switch" misleading advertizing... even though they were quite responsive to the shipping screw-up.

I get my Tri-X, APX 100 and RPX 400 from Macodirect. Other suppliers i have used are Fotoimpex and Photografica. The first two German, the last one Danish.

Local store called West Photo. I get film there, a few chemicals, sometimes paper when in a pinch. Everything else from Freestyle and sometimes eBay if there are good deals.

Most from my local camera store until it closed. B&H, some Freestyle, some Walgreens, some Target (used to have great prices on Fuji).

ok, in the uk....process supplies or silverprint, you can try photomart too. off shore 7dayshop is an option. there are pricey places like procentre and calumet too.
sorry if that is a bit london-centric they all do mail orders.

Interestingly this is posted in the UK regional forum :D

Ian

Strangely enough Ian, when I go into my local Jessops in Northampton I am usually advised to try Kuznetsky Most in Moscow. I blame the difficulties my Scottish accent gives them:D

Why are so many non UK people responding to this thread, it's really unhelpful.

Because the OP did not state in its profile where does he come from, which would be helpful . I personally tend not to notice the forum "tree" up the page. Besides, an answer that is unhelpful to you might be helpful to your brother photographer. Answers in fora are given in the general interest not solely to answer the original post

Since I never pay any attention at all to the directory tree - Denver ProPhoto, Englewood Camera, once in a while Mike's in Lone Tree, all in Colorado, U.S. The Denver area has a reasonably healthy market for film and film cameras.

yes but...as he said, that is not especially obvious. It would be much more helpful generally if all members would simply fill in their location field of the profile.

Many (most?) of us click the "new posts" and see all fora interleaved and so, what particular forum a thread is posted in is not noticed.

(We Americans are not so tuned in to subtleties.)
