I have a Pentax Spotmeter V that is a stop off. Any recommendations as to where I can get it repaired. I'm in the United States, so prefer a repair shop in this country.

Thanks.

Thanks! I used him several years ago for another meter repair, but I couldn't remember his name to look him up this time. Now I know!

For light meter calibration:
Dr. George Milton
Quality Light Metric
7095 Hollywood Boulevard
Hollywood CA 90028

I had him calibrate my Pentax Digital Spot Meter last week. He not only calibrates but measures for linearity. The store from is FedEX and the picks up and delivers light meters twice a day. You may want to call him first. He cannot calibrate Hasselblad PME prisms. Recommended by Samys and Alan Ross

Another vote for Quality Light Metric.

I also used QLM, about two years ago. How confident are you of the Pentax being incorrect? The reason I ask is that my Spotmeter V disagrees with the spot meter in my Canon DSLR (metering a large mid gray area that filled the frame in both cases) and still does so following calibration of the V, which calls into question either the accuracy of the (10 year old) Canon, or the accuracy of the QLM calibration.

I compared it to another Pentax Spotmeter V that I have, and they differ by 1 stop.

The other meter is apparently accurate, because it agrees with 3 other cameras I checked it against.

Agreeing with other meters may be a good indication, but is not a guarantee of accuracy. How are the photos shot with those cameras?

My spot meter and Hasselblad PME prism agreed and they were both more than a stop off
