Does anyone know where I can find Ilford SFX for 35mm. I've been looking for hours I'm starting a collabrative documentary project and I would really like to use this film and I know they sale it in DX Coded cassettes, but no one seems to have it. I figured if anyone knew where I could get it. Someone here would.

I'm pretty sure that Ilford stopped producing SFX-200 during the restructuring. That said, I did see some in the film fridge at Keeble and Shuchat (http://www.kspphoto.com/ ) last time I was there.

disclaimer: I am not affiliated in anyway with the companies mentioned in this (or, really any) post. I may be assumed to be a customer of any retail outfit I have mentioned.

I believe that Ilford are considering the production of SFX 200 on a small batch once-a-year basis. In the meantime, your best bet is to contact any Ilford dealer and see if they can order remaining stock for you. Ilford currently list SFX 200 as being available "while stock lasts."

just like minolta used to do with their IR film?
I was never able to find any of that one either.

How many rolls do you need? I think I have some.

Just a couple, I'm working with a design class at my university as the photographer for their class project. Their professor wants some thing edgy and what not. He has given me free range to do what I wish. I simply wanted to try as many different things as I could to find what I thought would be best for the project. I ran across this and saw some photos taken with it and decided I would like to try it out. If you have a few rolls that your willing to spare I would love to purchase them from you.
Thanks to everyone who responded you've been very helpful.

At the PhotoPlus expo I went up to the Ilford booth and asked if they have plans of reintroducing SFX200, and the person behind the counter told me 'no, not in the foreseeable future'. But this was in Oct 2005, so things may have changed since then.

Fintan, if you think you can spare a couple more rolls, I would be interested too. I shot just one roll of this film before it went off the shelves, and I really liked the effects. If I had known then, I would have stocked up....

Keeble and Shuchat don't have this film anymore, or at least that is what they told me.

From memory I think it's only the 120 film that is down as "while stocks last". I managed to get 7 x 120 rolls this week from Calumet in the UK but that's the first I've seen anywhere for months. Not seen any 35mm for over 6 months here.

Yes Keeble and Shuchat told me that as well. Thanks for everyone's help.

Simon, the Ilford rep, did post here awhile ago and they will be doing a run of 35mm SFX once a year. Sadly, no 120 size (I bet that was sweet stuff!).

If you you a search, I'm sure you can find the post.
