 I'm new to APUG. I use only Pentax film gear. I recently bought a significantly used MZ-S from the US via ebay, fell in love with the model and am now on the lookout for a new one. My web searches have come to nought as Pentax ceased production about 3 years ago, even though many US sites still list them.

Does anyone know where I might source a new one or one that's had minimal use?

Thanks,

DaveR

Try looking at

Dead Link Removed

an APUG sponsor.

Their ratings are conservative, to boot.

PS a hearty welcome to APUG from Utah, USA!!!

Welcome to A.P.U.G.!

K.E.H. Camera shows three. They have one that's rated LN, one Ex+ and one Ex.

As JBrunner said, they're very conservative in their ratings. VERY conservative. I usually look for their BGN-rated stuff, knowing it will be Excellent by any other rating standard. So, I'd personally opt for the one rated Ex.

There was a guy here singing props to them recently about some stuff they bought from him. He had described his stuff over the phone and they gave him an estimate. He accepted it and shipped them his stuff. Then he received a check for MORE than their estimate, cuz they said his stuff was in better condition than they had anticipated. Clearly, these are good folks to deal with!

Thanks for the welcome guys. I think I've heard similar about KEH before. I'll consider the info a while. Thank you both.

  I have a new body coming from Western Australia - virtually my own backyard! A member on another forum contacted me who had one that hadn't even had batteries in it, we agreed on a price we were both happy with and it should be on it's way soon.

Have heard many positive comments about KEH and have ordered a Timer Switch TS-110.

Thanks all for your input
