Born and raised in Brisbane, Australia. Have been living in Sydney, Australia almost 10 years now. Had to move with my work. Sometimes think of moving back to the sunshine, but the work opportunities are sadly lacking there...

Would LOVE to live somewhere DAMN COLD for a year, just to see what it's like. Mystery Alaska?

Weird huh?

How about Minot, North Dakota or International Falls, Mn. they seem to have a lock on DAMN COLD. :surprised:

a really flexible education. Learned as a photograph 30 years , nothing worth here. We weren't allowed to work self employed except with a kind of additional "Master" ... or some tricks like not having a dark room:-( ,,,and the edu itself: always under pressure to produce. (changed with the EU this spring!)
Univeristy Hamburg years later: studied 4 years "visual communication". No flexibility, strict content of courses, no equipment and, except "visual experiments" no experiments at all like you experienced.

@ GlennSYD: ack. These areas are those I long .. Sibiria, Alaska, Atnarktica ... one of my next 'projects' will lead me to one or more of them, at least to clear the question WHY;-) ... only the cold an't be the reason, even in summer it's too cold for my old bones here.

Naestved in the "Bigstream county" Denmark.
Denmark is 43000 square km in area, has 7300 km coastline and a population of 5,4 mio.
The climate is mild with almost no winter (e.i. frost and snow) and in summer we seldom reach temperatures over 35 degree centigrade (25 is common). The only poisonous snake in this "paradise" is a wiper and its normally not lethal. We pay three times as much for our cars as the rest of europe. More important cameras and films generally the double price as in the rest of EU. We are generally wery tolerant with other people except if they don't look like us, talk like us or think as we do :D
A lot of Danes go south in their holidays and Greece is a very popular destination.
