Fine and all, powerful stuff, but can I just say it annoys me when things are written about universal problems that transcend time such as racism and then are implicitly linked to current events like who the president is or what direction the country voted to go in 2 years ago, as if that has more than a passing effect on human nature (which has not changed since the dawn of time).

It's like talking about "studying weather patterns in light of Hurricane Maria" as if Maria was anything but just another hurricane.

But yes, good stuff.
