Format
Large Format
I know JandC emptied their warehouse in order to ease their move to larger quantities. It has been some time now.
Has anyone been able to learn when they anticipate being re-stocked in order to begin shipping large format film again?

I'm hoping John will see this and respond for all of us anxious purchasers.

We will be re-opening around January 15th. In the mean time you can order Adox films, papers and the Nuance papers along with many other items from www.fotoimpex.de

At least as important to me...when will we know what JandC means by:

"We've got a lot of announcements on new products and when they will be available coming soon. I think everyone will be real happy with what's coming down the pike."

Matt

You can't keep customers waiting forever, they find new vendors and new products...EC

Where would one suggest I purchase some Rodinal 09 and some Tetanal Neofin Blue? I have latent images that CANNOT wait for January + to be souped!

Many thanks,
Sam H.

Unfortunately fotoimpex will not post to the UK. I have discussed this with Mirko in his forum, he say's use Retrophotograhic in the UK. However, Retrophotographic does hold the complete Fotoimpex catalogue, not that I would expect it too. However they do not seem very interested in getting 'off catalogue' materials.

I Look forward to your return, even though we have to pay international shipping and import handling charges, often for goods made in the UK (Ilford).

Barry

I couldn't find a way to order or add to cart on the fotoimpex site..
Anybody?

Blaze-on,

you just do an e-mail order to them with what you need... and they'll get back to you with the details, such as payment and so on.

I conduct orders with Vanbar in Melbourne via e-mail, it's not as inconvenient as you'd think. Just requires some people skills and politeness, they should be quite happy to take your order.

In the mean time, I'm sort of inclined to save some of my summer earnings for when JandC opens it's doors again, but I'll have to buy some colour film eventually I'm sure.

J AND C

I think we can pretty much conclude at this point that J and C is out of business. Customers will not wait forever for restocking, moving, etc.

WOW,

You are so far out in left field that it is gone from funny to not funny, back to funny again!!!

I can assure you JandC is still in business and has some great stuff comming down the pike in the very near future...

My god, where do people like you come from??????????????????

Dave

As will I - and a bit under two months to move and re-establish a large operation, including a physical store front and the introduce new products, is hardly forever.
I smell some underhanded scare tactics, bah.

Troll.

So JandC wont take any orders unitl January 15th? I guess it will take me about that long to shoot the 1500+ sheets of film I bought during their moving sale.

Hurry back!

Does anyone know if there's to be another round of the TMY sheet film in addition to the Ilford? Or was everyone too disgusted by the oversize boxes?

J&C Re Stocked?

For some folks that cannot understand that J&C is going through this self imposed growth to better serve US the consumers, I guess that patience is not one of your strong points. All things considered, the down time is not that big a deal.

John just did us all a fabulous service via one of the most smoking deals on materials that I have seen in a very long time. If you did not make an order then shame on you! Why did he make this offer? Because he wants to show his customers that he appreciates their business and is positioning his corporate infrastructure (at significant financial exposure I might add) to accompdate their requirements for the next ten years +.

Any serious photographer should have six months or more of product on hand so a month and a half of down time is really not that big a deal.
