Thanks, Brian. I have no idea why I didn't see that on searching.
But what's your source of information?
Oh, gosh, we wouldn't want that!brian, you know PE is like the donnie brosco of rochester
if he tells you who his sources are, you're latté will probably be
laced with some hallucinogenic substance so you think you dreamed it
your tea will be made wtih morning glory seeds, so you wake up with
a massive headache and find yourself in a sewer pipe in mexico wearing
sean penn's tshirt from the movie "the game" ...
and if he is found out for devulging such important information ...
he will ingest whatever it is they make squeelers ingest
maybe sour patch kids ?
i hope they get the film wrapper thing figured out and the frame numbers figured out
before they release another film with the same film numbers and paper ...
I'm sure the delay is in getting past the new enviromental regulations, esp for the kit chemicals.
First things first. Lets get the film and deal with that later. One thing at a time.are their any mini labs left to process e6??
near me no one is left to convert chrome film to ... chromes.
If memory serves, in the other thread some time ago somebody mentioned the last quarterly report by Kodak, which is a stock-exchange listed firm.
I went and read it and, again going by memory, the quarterly report said the launch of Ektachrome is expected in 2018, not at the end of 2017, although there was a reference to some pre-production, or alpha program etc. that might happen during 2017.
Basically they are working on it.
I don't remember specific reference to what kind of formats they would produce initially.
It's late now and I'm going to sleep, but I think it's easy to find the quarterly report on the internet, or on the Kodak website.
That Twitter image is interesting because it came from Eastman Kodak, not Kodak Alaris.
35mm movie film in E6?
I would think that when they are testing emulsions, they wouldn't bother with sprocket holes (or edge printing). Those steps are done after just about everything else. What is that transparency film shown in post #63? It doesn't have sprocket holes, so it's neither ciné film nor 135 format. The wide narrow frames make no sense.

As stated in the other thread, I read that report and found no mention at all of a release date or a delay.
It only states that Kodak had announced plans to reformulate Ektachrome and release it both as cine and still filmd.
Could it be more vague?
