It was originally announced that it would be late in 2017!!!
Firstcall photographic in the UK have it listed in their paper catalogue for first stocks arriving November or December at £8.99 for 35mm 36exp.
But what's your source of information?
Market testing sounds like a Beta, I don't quite know what range of distribution would mean. At least it would fulfill the 2017 availability, as limited it may be.We're working towards having limited supply of Ektachrome film available for market testing by year end with availability in 2018
I said in the other thread on this that 2018 is the current target.

Clearly, that means that PE read it on the internet!Brian, I live in Rochester NY and worked at EK for 32 years. Does that give you a hint?

I suspect the "Kodak Professional" FB page is someone mimicking the real Kodak, as several of the postings appear to be written by someone whose first language is not English. The content that actually reads as American English looks to be copied and pasted from Kodak. I do not believe "Kodak Professional" on FB is actually provided by Kodak/Alaris.
AFAIK, there are no plans afoot for 120 Ektachrome.i hope they get the film wrapper thing figured out and the frame numbers figured out
before they release another film with the same film numbers and paper ...
I know all of that, but it doesn't answer the question. I'm sure you have insights and better guesses than others but "mysterious information " is still mysterious. I'm too old and wise to believe anything I'm told and suspicious enough, based on proven experience, to what is meant by "trust me" or "I heard it in a clandestine lunch meeting" or "I read it on the internet".Brian, I live in Rochester NY and worked at EK for 32 years. Does that give you a hint?

... and that announcement (January 2017 CES) is all we've ever seen... except for the hashtag!Kodak's announcement said we should expect film in late 2017!
And I'm willing to call bullsh!t on the Facebook posts. Seems like everyone can cite them but nobody can point to them for others to read with their own eyes. More "mysterious information"...

I actually agree with you, but don't mind the discussion. What distresses me is when folks have such a difficult time divulging their sources and expect others to believe that they have secret insight. Sometimes that may be true but other times who knows if its true or not. So far, though, the very limited amount of information provided by Kodak or the "secret sources" has me intrigued but not holding my breath in anticipation.Bullshit or not. Anything would still be a statement of intention anyway
Kodak intends to bring back Ektachrome.
Film Ferrania intend to bring back their slide film.
Agfa stated once to be the last firm standing that would manufacture film.
So let us just wait and see what happens.
They commented on facebook (plastered on some blogs):
Market testing sounds like a Beta, I don't quite know what range of distribution would mean. At least it would fulfill the 2017 availability, as limited it may be.
They teased a test strip and said "Ektachrome is back", seems like the R&D is going well.
Brian and all the rest, this post gives the information correctly, and there was a reference in the other thread to a Kodak report.
And if I divulged my sources, I would no longer have any, assuming I have some now that is!

I can't resist...I sent kodak alaris a message on FB they came back to me saying Ektachrome will be available between october and december
Julie, it is also about the reintroduction of Ektachrome. Sorry, but I don't keep track of references here on "APUG" because there are just too many.

AFAIK, there are no plans afoot for 120 Ektachrome.
Unfortunately
And does anyone else want an edit to the title on this thread - "When will Kodak launch Ektachrome?"?
Happy reading:Thanks. I did a search but can't find such a thread. I'll suppose I'll stay in the dark until Ektachrome makes its reappearance.
