It goes real bad!

Hi all, I'm fairly new to APUG and thought I should say hi.

I've been working my way up through the formats over the last year and now shoot on a 1945 8x10 Deardorff.

I've set up a group on meetups to encourage people to shoot film. Our last shoot was at the famous St Pancras station in London. Weeks of organising were required.

My first shot was an 8 minute exposure. I finished and dismantled the camera, only to find a darkslide in my bag and not on the film holder...

When I came to develop I found I had managed to shoot my next 3 shots on the same sheet of film! Triple exposure...

I feel like a complete fool. Lots of lessons learnt. After 2 years of shooting film without a problem, I guess my luck ran out big style.

Finally got some time to work on shots from a trip to Arizona. Open first film holder. @$%@$# I exposed the back of the empty holder! Oh well

My experience has taught me that Murphy's Law varies directly as the size/expense of the film increases. I sometimes make such idiot blunders on my 8x10 that I tend to need a week or two with a TLR to build my confidence enough to try it again. Most of my errors fall under exposure... taking careful readings to determine N-1 only to forget to stop down... Checking my numbers with double redundancy, but neglecting to compensate for the tele attachment on my Gossen. (which leads to such bewildering math trying to figure how to develop such disasterously exposed film...)

If it didn't completely wash out, I'd love to see the result of that 8x10 triple exposure. I've had some
on 35mm before, and occasionally they were surprisingly entertaining.
