Sounds like fun to me, although I don't think it takes much to get old back_alley riled up. I might just start posting that I that photopoo.com, is vastly superior to and a better source of information than RFF.

Thats the best way to get even.Find a forum that you like and enjoy it.Most mods get around to other forums, even if only to spy or leach members. So they probably already seen this.
Photography forums aren't immune to problems like the cliques you see every where else. You know the ones where if you aren't in the in group your posts get edited, deleted or moved. You aren't allowed to post in the moderators pets threads, ask a question it gets ignored, answer a question and the mods will talk over you like they need to answer every question or its not official and you're an idiot even if answered correctly, the inner circle will gang together and bump your threads off page 1,if you don't own XYZ brand or model you're a dud, lopsided moderating your hand gets slapped the inner circle members have carte blance to break every rule in the book... generally get treated like the red headed step child that goes out to the wood shed. All childish nonsense.

Nice to see that APUG doesn't have these issues.Seen it elsewhere, not going to mention any names...in public.

That's a point I didn't take into consideration. Although I know better, I tend to assume anyone doing film seriously has or at least has access to a darkroom, even if makeshift. There are mail order labs that will do your 4x5 but the price could easily become prohibitive. I wouldn't do it myself if I didn't do it myself  and won't bother with 4x5 color until I'm ready to print color again.

Poor excuse.

I can load 12 film holders in a small changing bag and unload 6 holders into a daylight developing tank when I'm finished.

Make shift is a possibility, the killer is I can't stand the smell of the chemicals, I did developing and printing as part of the photography course I took and found I couldn't work in the darkroom with out getting ill. 14 other people in the course didn't have any problems.

Perhaps so, and do what with the negatives?

Ok, you could scan them. But in a purely traditional way - well you could send them out to a lab to print, I suppose.

Still I love LF but wouldn't bother if I didn't do my own printing.

I wouldn't do it if I couldn't print either, but some people don't print.
