I find the Tri-x ortho I have is to be exposed around iso 20 and developed 20 minutes in d76 1:3 - with a pinch of added washing soda.

I shot a few sheets of that in this past year. I forget how long I developed it. I think I was shooting at EI 12? I must have been using D76 at the time. I'll try to dig something out about it.

The problem I consistently had with it was that it was so thin. It doesn't like to stay still in a Graflok holder, and slides around. Actually, I tend to have that issue even with thicker base films.

Tried to like Shangai and bought a box of 8x10 sheets once. I didn't mind the sharp falloff--kinda liked it--but it was hard to find and I had to get it (on ebay) from a reseller in Taipei. In the end, it was more expensive than Arista, so not really worth the expense. But at least it didn't curl like GP3.

But I like the Efke 100 best.

Yep, since I shoot mostly .EDU Ultra, I have about the same ratio -- 4-5 sheets same cost as a roll of 120. I look at it as a full Grafmatic with the rebranded Fomapan costing less than a 120 roll of Ilford or Kodak the same speed.

Ive always wanted to get a grafmatic for the same reason. I also want to try foma 200 for my sheet film work but all the time and money i put into hp5 makes it hard to want to go threw the whole process again with foma. It would make me shoot more film tho.

I mostly use Delta 100 in 4x5, with some HP5.

I am moving to Bergger Panchro 400 for 8x10, and may add that to my 4x5 in place of HP5 if it works out. I need to use some roll-film Bergger to dial in my development - it needs something like 17 minutes in my usual Thornton 2 Bath, which is about three times what I need for the other emulsions. I am thinking of building a lightweight fixed body camera for my 90mm Super-Angulon and Grafmatic, so a faster film would be useful.

I've been using Arista EDU Ultra 100, 200 and 400 in 4x5, 5x7 and 8x10 and have been satisfied considering the quality/price. I have 4 or 5 boxes of each. I also have three hundred sheets of 8x10 Fuji HRU x-ray film that I will be trying soon once I get my courage up and decide how to process it without scratching it.

I tried an expired Ektar 100 self portrait on my speed graphic. I also learned not to use spin agitation with the Patterson 4x5 holder:

People were like "wow how'd you get that cool effect?" To which I responded poor film development...

I was not too thrilled with the look of E100 in 120. Someone suggested a warming filter on the lens but it seemed a bit green in the flesh tones. Worked great for nature though.

Well, i now have a singer grafmatic on the way from keh. Really put the pacemaker speed to work.

I bought one, and then two more, and had two loaded, and shot one and developed them all, and then went to figure out which one wasn't loaded yet, and then I realized I had bought four. So, there's that.

I bought a carrying bag that holds 4 regular film holders a few weeks before getting my first Grafmatic. Now I'm trying to decide whether it'll hold three Grafmatics, or four...

Since my Wanderlust Travelwide arrived I really haven't used my Speeds and Crowns that much so my Grafmatics are feeling a tad unloved right now. However I am relatively sure that will pass.

Two grafmatic loads fit perfectly in two Jobo 2509 reels which fit perfectly in my Jobo 2550 tank. 12 sheets of 4x5 developed in 600ml of developer is pretty economical.

I'm really glad that those people at Folmer Graflex built their equipment to last for awhile.

Two Grafmatics fits perfectly in my Yankee Agitank, too (at least once I master the knack of getting six on one side without doubling them up -- did it on both sides this last batch). Takes more developer, but I replenish my Xtol, so still only 210 ml of replenisher for the twelve sheets.

f45 w/ bellows extension metered at 18', exposed for ~100' due to reciprocity
Pyrocat-HD 1+1+200 3' @ 25C

Hard to beat for futzing around.

I tested 2 sheets of Pancro 400 in 8x10, rated at 320 and processed in D76. I then tested 2 sheets of HP5+ pushed to 1600.

I processed the film using our ATL3 at 24C using the 3005 expert drum. Pretty flawless negatives, cannot complain.

Tomorrow I am photographing a local sail maker using my large format cameras. I'll be bringing the Pancro and the HP5 in 8x10. In 5x7 I'll likely shoot Pancro and or Portra 160. I will also load my 4x5 carriers with Ektachrome. As a backup and option for more color I'll bring a Rolleiflex with Portra 800.

I've visited the space before and windows are a bit limited, lighting is with fluorescents. I will have a single bare bulb style strobe and a C stand just in case, but I try to avoid flash when I can. The cameras I'm bringing are the Chamonix 810V and 57N. I'll have a 120/8 Super Angulon, and Caltar 180/5.6, 240/5.6, and 300/5.6 lenses. I recently sold my 360 because I needed the money for another project and no filters fit it, that I own anyway. A pitty because it's a bigger jump from 240 to 300.

The film will be scanned by me here with my S1R camera and the 8x10 sized Negative Supply Pro Light.

FP4+ in PyrocatHD in various sheet sizes.
A little Kodak Copy Film in 8x10 in the fridge. Tri-x, TMax, HP5+, and who knows what else also hiding in the fridge in various formats.

Grafmatic came, broken handle on the darkslide, The grafmatic is a very cool idea tho, but im just going to return it and stick with dds. The added complexity over a dds is too much for me personally.
