I just got a Rollei 35 today, and last night I brought a Graflex Graphic 35 back from the dead. Both are loaded, and I've been playing with them all day.

Bought a strange combination yesterday. A Canon FDn 35-70 / f2.8-3.5 zoom attached to a T50 body.
For $35 I reckon the T50 was just there as a rear lens cap. The lens is cosmetically and optically very clean
but it has a little wobbling looseness in the lens barrel. I'll have to find someone to rectify this.

Hello,

I bought this camera some weeks ago (pic on the right)
I repaired it because it was not in good condition. I replaced the torn bellows by less used and changed the dry second curtain which makes the shutter inoperative. The picture on the left shows it after ; it's seen with a 6 X 6 Semflex TLR.
It has a focal plane shutter with 2 curtains. There are 10 speeds (and T) with 3 tensions, with a flash synchro. A lever or a pistol grip (not shown on the left picture) activates it.
The mirror can be lifted more or less quickly with a tension knob. If the mirror is not up, it's not possible to take photos.
Back is RB (revolving back) for plates, and format 9 X 12 cm.
The lens is an enormous 300 mm f4,5 Boyer Saphir, with interchangeable front, and tilt only (with threaded stem on the side).
The finder is not a prism, but a succession of 3 mirrors.
The inside is mechanically very complicated and happily in working order.
It's 1 meter long and weighs nearly 10 kg.

It's a french camera ; the name is "Stud" (Paris). It is difficult to know much about it because nobody here has seen one before.
I suppose it was made between 1935 and 1950...

A couple of weeks ago, a nearly mint Fujica Half. A cool little half frame 35mm first released n 1963; not sure how long the production run was. And, over the weekend, a black Nikon FTN with a pre-Ai 105mm 2.5. And an EX++ Petri Color 35, another cool little 35mm similar in size to a Rollei 35 but, as Stephen Gandy says, everything the Rollei 35 should have been.

Not a body, but I did pick up a 24/2.8 AI Nikkor and a MB-20. Got rid of the F5 and one of my AI'd 50/2 Nikkor-H lenses to make it possible.

Olympus Stylus Epic. $2 at the thrift store. Bottom of battery door is broken and battery door won't stay shut. A little piece of clear tape and problem solved. New battery and loaded up a roll of fuji200. Works great! Man, this thing is SMALL!

Was a good used camera day for me yesterday. Picked up a Canon T90 and later in the day a Pentax ME Super. Both in great shape and not a lot of $$$ spent, just a lot of time. Film is waiting to be developed, in the morning.

My latest GAS cramp - a Canon T90

I thought I'd finally gotten over my longing for a Canon T90 after buying one at eBay some years ago that had a defective display, which the seller claimed came back to life after I returned it to him, and later getting one that worked fine, but I made the mistake of putting away without removing the batteries [I know better, but did I do better? NoooooOOOOOoo]. It worked for a roll and a half after I cleaned up the leakage residue and battery contacts last summer, but then quit for good. I sold it off last summer as a parts/repair lot, followed by the 300TL Speedlite I used with it, figuring that the EF and AT-1 bodies I have should be enough.

My GAS has been fairly well controlled the last few months, but when I saw the eBay auction for a T90 described as working and having a small bit of oil on a shutter blade, I couldn't resist [I have a light touch with 91% alcohol on a cotton swab]. I matched the seller's opening bid, and had no competition for it.

Delivered yesterday [Thursday, July 31], this T90's cosmetics are EX+, close to mint, and the while the mark on the shutter blade is from wear, not oil, the shutter and electronics are all working as they should. I ran a 24-shot roll of C-41 through it, shooting a few frames with a handy EZ420 Speedlite in place of the departed 300TL, and all seemed OK from loading to rewind. Since York Photo has been giving ten day turnaround of late, it'll be a while before I'll know if all is well.

Just picked up a 1939 Voigtlander Bessa Mk1, all looks good condition no visible problems but will find out when I run a roll of 120 through it today at our local Village "Memories of Bygone Days" Fair.

FA, in good shape from B&H.

I got an itch to get back into film and got out the FM and some expired Plus-X and Tri-X.

Now that I have several small people running around the house that I didn't have last time I shot, the combination of dealing with focus AND exposure was a bit of a pain in the butt. Hence the FA, which is awesome.

Once the kids are playing sports, I think I need an F4 to run an AF zoom lens that I have.

Hopefully there will still be reasonable 400 speed color film then. I'm bummed to see that there isn't any more 400 speed Fuji slide film. When I put away my film cameras before, I was only shooting slides and occasional B&W.

Do you know what thread it has for the tripod mount ?
I haven't been able to locate a suitable bushing to fit it to my modern 1/4-20 tripod.

The original thread size on the bessa is 3/8" (inch) instead of standard 1/4" used nowadays and they are available on the auction site or all good camera shops
