Was looking for an MB-20 for an F4S I bought a while back. I found one on the 'Bay for $100, but the guy had all kinds of payment restrictions that I couldn't meet, so I checked KEH. For $150, not much more than the 'Bay MB-20, they had a BGN F4. MB-20 with a $50 camera body! Ordered.

@Nikon Collector Funny, I just got my first roll back from a Nettar which was found at the dump and given to me. It's a nice little camera, and the images it produces are quite good. I just need to get better at judging distance. Either that, or shoot at f/16 all the time!

Leica MDa. Was attached to a Leitz Reprovit IIa which has a Leitz Wetzlar 50/4.5 Focotar-2. My hopes (for after the holidays) are to get a wide angle lens or two with the appropriate finders so I can use the MDa off the copy stand.

My last three were a Canon AE-1P, a T-70, and another AE-1P. I do not know why. I already have a black AE-1P but liked the silver one I've used, so I got it, with lenses and flash for a hundred USD. It was "like new" according to the seller, Yeah... about that... not so much. Viewfinder was cracked and the battery door broke. I reported it to the seller and he refunded $40. So off I went to find another silver body and I came across this T-70 outfit I couldn't pass up, for $50. At the same time a silver AE-1P in "near mint" condition was closing, for $50. So I bid on and won both. On Thanksgiving day I decided to try my hand at swapping the viewfinder of the defective AE-1P since it did seem to work and I had a non-P AE-1 in my junk camera bin. Much to my surprise and following the looscanons.com website tutorial, I not only got the top cover off, and viewfinder replaced, but actually got the thing back together. It's not easy due to a couple c-shaped washer thingies you got to be sure go on right. I should have done the door too, but didn't know about it until after I put the cover back on. So super glue took care of that. So I ended up, after a couple hours work, with a fully functional working AE-1P with a clear viewfinder. When the other gear arrived I was happy with them too. They are nice picture takers, all. The near mint AE-1P was pretty nice, maybe not mint, but nice. I just don't love it as much as the one I fixed.

Minolta Electro Shot - just bought it today for $25. Nearly perfect with original lens cap and case. I have to order a battery to replace the mercury RM1. It has a Seiko Electronic Shutter. It looks like a cross between a Minolta HiMatic 7 and a Yashica Electro 35 although it's a bit smaller and lighter than either. Has a very cool feel to it.

It's identical to this:

Wanting a pocket size camera to carry with me anywhere and everywhere, I bought a Minox 35EL around 1977 and used it regularly until 2003. I probably shot more images with it than any other camera during that time. It was a delight to use.

Some who have owned various Minox 35 models found them to be unreliable, but mine never failed me.

I was in a charity shot on Saturday. There was an old basket filled with dusty compact cameras. I had a look at all of them, mostly Vivitars, Keystone, no-name brands etc. At the bottom was a very old beaten-up fabric case with a stuck zip. I wasn't going to bother opening it up, but I though "I'll just take a look in case it's an Olympus Trip or something like that". I managed to free the zip, and it was.... an Olympus trip! Near-mint, and from the serial number from 1981, for £10. With the original lens cap (and original case, in a bad way). I replaced the foam on the door hinge and checked it out, fully functioning. What a fabulously designed little camera it is.

I've been going crazy lately buying cameras.

Yesterday I bought a Pentax SuperProgram with a Cosmicar 35-70 lens / Pentax AF280T flash / filters / bag / etc for $25. I still have my original SuperProgram which I bought new in 85, however, years of heavy use have taken their toll. The one I bought yesterday looks like it was hardly used.

2 days ago I picked up a Canon Sure Shot Z135 for $4. This P&S looks to be a nice little camera.

Saturday I bought a Minolta Freedom Tele for $2. This is the P&S that's identical to the Leica AF-C1.

Then last Wednesday, I bought a near mint Minolta Electro Shot for $25 (with case.) It's quite similar to the HiMatic 7, but uses a Seiko electronic shutter. I'm waiting for a battery to arrive in the mail.

Yea, I need therapy.

I recently bought a Kodak Bantam. It really is a little jewel of craftsmanship. Shutter will fire at 1/200 (likely 1/100), but gets stuck at other speeds. I may try to take apart the shutter myself. This thing is really so small and pleasant in the hands.

Received a Ciro-Flex (model B) TLR the other day, that I had found on eBay. I couldn't believe how many month's it took to locate one of these that was in excellent condition and reasonably priced. This one was in such fine condition . . . the shutter only worked on 100 & 200, the focus assembly was frozen nearly solid, and something inside the viewer was intermittently obstructing the view. But, I love these Ciro-flex cameras. They're so easy to repair. After about an hour of labor (simple stupid stuff) we now have a almost new TLR that cost only 15 buckaroos. Can't beat that with a stick.

$15 for a Ciro? Nice! One of America's better cameras. But poor Ciro got lost in the mergers and acquisitions of Graflex, Crown, Kodak, etc.

I had the Model D some years ago, which had a shutter issue that couldn't be resolved. But still, I was amazed at how sharp the negatives were. I must admit that I preferred that Ciro-flex over the Yashica TLRs that I had owned previously. This version has a different lens from the previous Ciro-flex, which I expect will perform quite differently. The lens has plenty of bubbles which has been a good sign in the past. ;-) I hope to run a test roll once a certain package from Freestyle (notice the subliminal plug) arrives in the post.

I've been tempted to try the Graflex 22. Are they not basically the same?

The Graflex 22 is the Ciro-Flex Model E - probably the most common of all Ciros. It had flash sync and a few other refinements. I've actually been considering getting one.

I just got 2 Agfe Jsolettes. The first one seems to be in good shape no light leaks in the bellows, the shutter speeds seem to be about right, just the stuck lens syndrome. It is soaking now.

The 2nd one has not arrived yet so hopefully it is workable too.

I like the two that I got due to the 4.5.x6 and 6x6 formats you can do with them and the bakelite tops.

Either way they will both probably be going to certo6 for a good once over in the future.

A pair of Olympus LT Zoom 105. Don't ask why I got two, I really don't know.
