Fomapan 100 and Ilford FP4+ roll film, Impossible film, Fujifilm FP100C about a month ago.

This week I ordered something new: 10 rolls of Washi Film from France.

"Washi Film is a new handcrafted photographic film, made with traditional japanese paper and compatible with all kinds of large and medium format cameras."

I saw some interesting results, so I would like to try this myself. It is developed with paper developer under red light.
I would like to test this film in my old Hasselblad SWC from 1963, with a fixed Biogon 38 mm f 4.5 lens.

Have you got them yet? The sample photos look interesting but might just be LF shots on underexposed film nothing else.
Would be interesting to see how they turn out.

I did and the rolls look nice. I'll make some test shots on the first film next week. Maybe I'll use my Hasselblad SWC or just my pinhole camera or a Woca 120G, don't know yet. I'll let you know how it works out.

And I have to find me a bottle of Eukobrom for some tray developing: "Washi film has a basic sensitivity of 25 iso when process in Tetenal Eukobrom at 1+1 dilution". It will probably work with other paper developers as well, but for the first roll I like to try a proven developer.

To be continued ...

Because I am hoping to find workable replacements for my some of my favorite Efke products...

Rollei RPX 25 - 3 rolls (120)
Rollei Retro 80s - 5 rolls (120)
Rollei Retro 400s - 5 rolls (120)

I am currently in the middle of testing the IR capabilities of the last two, which in turn has had me looking into other developers, including:

Adox Atomal 49 - powder to make 1 liter (qty. 2)

As much as I'd hate to get addicted to using a film that's not available anymore, I just couldn't pass up a box of 25 sheets of APX100 in 8x10"...

Just buying paper lately, testing every paper to see what I like now that I'm finally printing!

Ilford RC gloss, RC pearl, RC satin, FB gloss, FB matte, oriental seagull 2 FB gloss (which someone told me today it's repackaged ilford? If that's true, whoops!), ilford Art 300, FOMA chamois.

Ilford hasn't allowed re-packaging for a long time. They do, however, provide contract coating and finishing services, so they might have manufactured Oriental's paper for them, using Oriental's formulas and paper specifications.

You should check though - doesn't the packaging indicate that it was manufactured in Japan?

100' Kodak 5222 film. Shot a few rolls of it previously and really liked what I saw. No sure yet if I REALLY need the 400' rolls I could get directly from Kodak Vancouver. 75-80 exp. rolls is a fair dedication. Saved the metal rolls from Legacy Pro binge I was on for a while so I'm set on that part. Christmas present to myself......? I should be out of the XX by then

I was lucky to receive the following from a good friend with a big freezer:
30 rolls of Tri-X 120
20 rolls of Tri-X 35mm
40 rolls of Acros 120
25 rolls of Reala 120
10 rolls of Reala 35mm
15 rolls of Fuji 800 NPZ 35mm
15 rolls of Fuji 160 NPC 120
5 rolls of Fuji 800 NPZ 120

Prior to that I had purchased 20 rolls of HP5+ in 120 and 50 rolls in 35mm, but was running low.

Haven't bought paper in a long time. Still working my way through about the remaining 400 sheets of Ilford MGIV in 8x10, 11x14, and 16x20 so that I can get some of the new Classic.

A 250-sheet box of 8x10 Ilford Multigrade IV FB, unfortunately just before their switch to Classic. So given my chronically overscheduled life, it will be a fairly long time before I can try the new paper as well. By the time I get there Harman will probably have already upgraded beyond the new Classic anyway...

Two expired Orwo NP20 120 films for 5euros just out of curiosity. I wonder what will come out in Rodinal.

I was given a pack of Adox MCP 312, 50 sheets in 24x30 cm and a pack of Fomabrom 123, 10 sheets in 30x40 cm as birthday gifts from my husband  I also got myself two 100 sheet packs 8x10 inch Ilford MGV RC 44M. My last order contained three 20-sheet-packs of Fomatone 132 in 24x30 cm plus lith developer and Moersch Eco 4812 developer. So, I think this will keep me busy printing for a while!

Just received a nice parcel from Calumet with some roll film:
film-Calumet-sep14.JPG
5x Acros 100 (B&W)
5x Kodak Tri-X400 (B&W)
10x Fuji PRO 400H (color)
5x Kodak Portra 160 (color)

I also ordered 10 Fuji Provia 100F (slide), but these will be shipped next week.

Just restocked on my E6. Box of Velvia 4x5, and two pro packs of 35mm to the tune of ~$130... Ouch...

APUG is dangerous!

Because often I'll read thread here and buy right away.
Today I ordered Shanghai 4x5 film, after reading thread about this film.
Before it was Polypan F, after I read the thread about this one.

Then it's a good thing you didn't read (there was a url link here which no longer exists) ...... :whistling:

Wish I knew the difference, I don't like the classic glossy, and I like the classic matte even less. I tried Oriental Seagull II but it looked exactly the same as the ilford and someone told me they are the same, I thought ilford didn't re-brand their film but maybe they do with their paper? It's EXACTLY the same, I tested size by side.

Wonder how the non-classic looks. Enjoy it!

Classic and MGIV have different curves, contrast, image colour, speed, and response to toners. Oriental VC is not the same.

Wait, you're printing now?

Yup, started school for photography to learn, no one was teaching me because they cancelled the B&W 1 course so I decided to teach myself using Ralph Lambrecht's book as a reference.

So far so good, just testing every paper under the sun (sun being the enlarger head) and still not happy, FOMA papers up next but it's 2-4 weeks for delivery...

Not so bad for my first week...
