They're interchangeable. Fall seems to be used more often. I haven't talked to anyone from anywhere in the US who doesn't use Fall at least some of the time, but I haven't talked to everybody yet.Just for personal interest, which areas of the US use autumn and which use fall? I can see both being used by US members here.

Spring or Autumn are the best, but I'm not fussy.

It should have been Yuciapa. East of San Bernadino in the mountains. They have an apple festival in the fall [autumn] with apple pie, cider, ... worth it with the fall colors.
