I have a ~30mm design I drew up in dbOptic thats f/0.25

I'd like sometthing wide and sharp and also a tele and sharp made with negative diffraction optical materials (already been used in visible wavelengths years ago to image well beyond the diffraction limit), basically.. limitless stopping down to reduce abberrations and only ever improve resolution.. no diffraction limit.

I would like a 35mm f/1.4 lens in Canon FD and Konica AR mounts. The lens would have IF, floating elements and apsheric elements if needed. It would be sharp from infinity to 1:1 and would work above 1:1 reversed with an auto ring. The lens would have the most modern coating and might come with a purpose built UV or 1A filter which codld be replaced if it got scratched.

A 24mm to 85mm Zuiko varifocal f/2.0 lens for my OMs with good macro at the 85mm end.

Oh, and it needs to handle like a Zuiko.

I'd go as far as a 55mm filter thread, but would prefer 49mm .

I'd like to see Canon remake the legendary (I've never seen one, have you?) 50mm f/1.0 with decent optics. Don't think that's technically possible though

Do you mean the 50/0.95 lens for the Canon 7? I've seen it a few times. It's VERY BIG, always expensive and the ones I've seen weren't in good condition

No; the poster means the EOS 50mm f/1.0.

A modern and fast Hypergon that covered 16x20" - keep the air spun centre ND for sure and make it look like something darth vader would have used

Something around 20mm without edge distortion would be nice. Maybe f1.4? A hyperfocal lock for street shooting. It doesn't exist and I still can't afford it!

The three lenses listed below instead of the version that Nikon is presently making that do not have an aperture ring. The aperture ring is needed so I can use these lenses on my Nikon F2 35mm SLR.

Nikon 24mm f/1.4 auto focus with an aperture ring
Nikon 35mm f/1.4 auto focus with an aperture ring
Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8 auto focus with an aperture ring

An Autofocus-able diffraction-limited 50mm f/0.707 for EOS fit, for less than ÂŁ50. Ideally with easy manual override for focus/aperture rings. (I'd want autofocus, because at f/0.707, your DoF would be about as thick as a sheet of bible paper, anywhere short of landscape focal distances).

The thick planks that double as sheets of bible paper, with DoF to match the f/0.707 aperture:

I'd love a 28mm/f1.4 or 1.8....I have a Series E 50mm/1.8 which is great, but I love using my 28mm/2.8 the most. I like mattmoy_2000's 50/f0.707 dream too....I love macro work, and that would be spectacular to have for some wildflower shots around these mountains.

I want a K-mount version of a Jupiter-9 85/2 (or it's CZJ Sonnar equivalent). I love the M42 version, but I've ended up picking up a Spotmatic just for it, as my main SLRs are K-mount, and the M42-K adapters are PITAs to take off if I want to switch to another K-mount lens.

Actually, my fantasy lens is my 50 1.4 AF-D. You see I was doing this portrait photo shoot of an attractive woman and she drives us to a piece of property out in the country to do the shoot...
