Looks like an autofocus lens.

I had a client whose art director used a 35/2 chron for a paper weight...maybe that'd be a good use for this FM, if they weren't picky.

No, I meant Nikon. That was a very dry joke. Sorry.

But now that you mention Kiron... it’s really wrong to put a Nikon lens cap on a Kiron!

Most of the Kiron lenses are quite good.

The FM2 goes up to 1/4000th shutter speed, too.

A google search showed that Kiron did make a 28mm f2 lens in Nikon F mount

Yes. A 28 f/2 and a 24 f/2.

Kiron also made a 28/2.8. I must have mentioned this in another posting - years ago I bought a Konica Autoreflex with a Vivitar 55/2.8 Macro which wouldn't come off. I really just wanted the lens. I took the camera to Kiplings Photo Fix, which was in the Olden Camera building. I paid them for the surgery by giving them the camera body. I still have the lens. Many years later I bought a Minolta 600si with the Minolta 50/2.8 Macro, which wouldn't come off. I disassembled the 600si (I had a number of working ones already), threw away the camera parts and kept the lens.
