Sorry if this is in the wrong forum -- I couldn't find a beginner's forum on here.

I'm not sure if it's light leaks or something else, but I'm getting red bands in the center of my shots. Anyone know what's wrong?

I'm shooting on a Canon A1 with 35mm film.
 
I think you need new foam seals on the door. It looks like the film is getting fogged on the takeup spool. Put a piace of black electrical tape over the seam, see if that helps.
 
Thanks, I'll look into that later today. Which seam are you referring to?
 
The seam nearest the takeup spool, where the hinge is. I'm not certain that is the problem, but I can think of nothing else that would let light fog the film in that spot.
 
put tape all around the edge of the film door -- sealing all 4 sides and shoot another roll. If the roll comes out OK you need new light seals.
