That's how it was when I first applied it, it did not shrink later. So either it was not made correctly, or it shrank after they made it and before I received it.

According to cameraleather, yes. But that's neither here nor there. My other real leather one I bought several years earlier fit perfectly, and still fits perfectly.
IIRC Morgan uses steel rule dies and a clicker rather than laser-cutting his materials.
Either way, material shrinkage seems the obvious cause of the ill-fitting Leica covering.
