I sold two photographs this week. Both were the hand-painted old farmhouse I posted in the Gallery. One a 12x16, the other 16x20. I just need to mat them to 16x20 and 20x 24, then ship them out. A nice week, as I hadn't sold anything in awhile.

Last Thursday, about forty seconds after I thought to myself "Gosh. I haven't had an eBay sale in a couple of weeks.", my phone made the cash-register noise that indicates someone just paid me for something. I had sold a Nikon Pronea 6i with its battery and film doors secured with tape (for parts or repair). I messaged the buyer to clarify that the camera worked, but that both doors required tape to keep them closed. He replied LOL and said the picture of the 6i on Camrapedia also had tape on it.

Sold a Rolleiflex T. Got a 3.5F and a 2.8 on need of serious overhaul so need some cash to pay for it. Got a fully working 3.5F for the time being.

I recently donated a huge pile of Minolta gear to Goodwill. I accumulated the lot bit by bit over the last ten years or so, and shot exactly one roll of film with it. Sorry to see it go, but it was either that or the Contax gear or the FD gear. My heirs will have to deal with that.

SOLD! I thought in APUG, we were only supposed to BUY things. I did not know we could SELL things also. "Now where are those 'smiley' faces when I need them?"...........Regards!

Leica M8 with adapted and serviced by myself Industar-69 28 2.8 half frame scale lens. Nothing was wrong with the kit, I purchased it instead of taking out Leica M-E. But I was just trying to fool myself. Cameras I like to take out with me are Leica M3 and M4-2 (it is in service for months now). To me it is much easier to work with film cameras for outdoor projects instead of digital.

Since my last post, I've sold a couple F FTn bodies to Terrence Brennan in Canada, along with a 35/2 Nikkor-OC lens (one about a month or so ago, one last week). Traded an FM2n, 20/3.5 Nikkor-UD, 50/1.4 Nikkor-SC, 85/1.8 Nikkor-HC, and an 18-70 zoom for my 15/3.5 AI Nikkor. Then, most recently, traded a well-used and kludged-together FM2 with an engraved 50/1.8 AF Nikkor, as well as an 18-55 zoom toward another 18-70.

Also gave a friend my Spotmatic II kit to give to his nephew who's interested in getting into film photography, along with a 50/2 Nikkor-H that came with my current F body.

I sold a 1936 Carl Zeiss Jena 5cm F1.5 Sonnar custom-converted to Leica mount. I had recently picked up another one, converted it as well.

  • Canon AE-1 Program Kit
  • Canon AE-1 Kit
  • Canon FD 24mm f/2.8
  • Polaroid SX-70 Alpha-1 Model-2
That was all my Canon FD gear. The proceeds went toward a working Zeiss Ikon Super Ikonta 531/2 6x9 with a little money left over.

I'm not selling anything. I'm thinking to instruct legal to have me buried with all my cameras pretty much like the ancient Egyptians. I plan to have fun on the other side:D

An Olympus Pen F - for the second time.
The first buyer told me that the meter didn't work which surprised me because I was sure that I tested it before offering it for sale but things do happen to old cameras and they said they tried everything including replacing the batteries but got no life out of the meter.
They shipped the camera back to me and I refunded their money.
Upon checking the camera to make sure it was the same one I sent to them, I discovered that the meter worked fine. Apparently the ISO lever was set to 25 so if they were testing it indoors it would take a heck of a lot of light to get a reaction from the meter.
I offered it again on eBay and it was snatched up very quickly

I just sold my Pentax 67II and the 75mm 2.8 AL. The skyrocketing prices worked in my favor for once.

Sold more dry plates. My wife said I should make more to build up an inventory. I said that's a great idea, why didn't I think of that earlier (I've been trying, but they sell too fast).

Sold for 35$ working Kiev-19 kit with great lens, nobody wanted for year. And sold M3 also working, also nobody wanted for year or so. Sold for same price I have purchased it.
