What's that lens? (Identifying a 2.8 Tessar)

I've been "given" (I paid €120 for it, so it's almost a gift!) an Ahel1245 enlarger with a Componon-S 150mm and a few other things.

Among these things there was this lens, partly disassembled, and I don't know what it fits or what it's worth...

The name and the focal length point to a 4x5" enlarger and its regular lens. If it is a Schneider Componon S Tessar, it should be stellar. what'a bit puzzling is that you said 150mm, which makes it a lens for medium or even large format, where the engraving on the lens identifies it as a 50mm, which makes it a lens for 35mm. In any case, I'm not sure of the value, like not much, but who cares if it works?

It might help if you show the lens mount side also.

And the markings on the other side of the front. And the side, aperture markings if there are some.

Ralph, the lens' serial number is from ~1962. By that time Schneider's trade names Xenar and Comparon meant, respectively, tessar type taking lens and tessar type enlarging lens.

Ikarex 35 bayonet or M42 mount. Tessar is a Carl Zeiss tradename for a 1-1 / 2 lens.

Thanks for your replies. It seems my mention of the compagnon introduced some confusion : this lens shown here is not the enlarger lens, it's something else.

I was supposed to have posted the mount side, I'll post it today. Don't know what happened there.

Definitely not an M42, it has two slots, one large than the other

Ikarex 35 came in a bayonet/breech-lock OR M42 mount. This is the former.
