A year 2007 thread has resurfaced!

Last lens was Minolta AF 28-85 macro for my Maxxum 7.

Prior to that, 75/4.5 SMC Pentax 67 lens for Pentax 6x7 MLU.

If we count LF SLRs then quite a few :D However this is a 35mm sub forum.

In my case I rarely shoot 35mm these days but I bought a really nice near mint CZJ 58mm f2 T (coated) Biotar, it came with a Praktina FX body and was less than most 58mm Helios lenses :D The body is OK functions perfectly but had been engraved with a number dropping it's potential value. I already had a mint Praktina FX with a nice 50mm f2.8 Tessar.

Both FX bodies are the SA-2 or SA-3 versions, and the lenses are semi-automatic. I paid less for both cameras and lenses than the usual selling price for a 58mm Biotar alone :D I'd like to add the 75mm f1.5 Biotar . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

A Hasselblad C 30mm Fisheye about a year ago. The price was too good to pass up.

A Canon EF 40mm f/2.8 STM. wanted something small that I could use on all of my EOS Canons. Seems to work well considering the price and packaging. It's small and light which travels well on a motorcycle.

It has been four or five years, but I think the last SLR lens I purchased was the Zuiko 50mm f1.2.

Mine was the Sigma Super Wide II 24mm AF for Nikon.

My latest lens "purchase" was a front body cap for the Minolta XD-11 I won at auction. The camera is minty. The old Vivitar 80-230 is in okay shape and definitely a mediocre optic.

Prior to this "purchase," I bought a Canon nFD 80-200mm f/4 two-ring zoom. The two-ring 80-200 was always considered by Canon to be the pro zoom in that focal range. New it sold for substantially more than the more amateur-oriented push-pull 70-210mm f/4. These days, it can be picked up for peanuts, whether breech-lock or nFD mount. I think I paid $20 for mine, in minty condition. Definitely a good deal.

Good story about the Praktina and the vast history of Kamera-Werke Niedersedlitz and the people behind it:

https://www.mikeeckman.com/2017/11/praktina-fx-1953/

He refers though to a Carl Zeiss Stuttgart lens plant, which never existed. He also implies that the KW plant was turned public on soviet order, what was not the case. But the Nobles and their plant were indeed treated differently than other foreign owners.

A Vivitar 35mm f2.8 (Tokina made) for M42 mount for ~$17 bucks

I bought two mint Canon FD lenses in the last couple of weeks from a local used camera store, an 80-200mm f4 two-touch zoom and a 24mm f2.8 wide-angle lens, the zoom has a built-in sliding hood, and the 24mm to my surprise had with it the original Canon BW 52C lens hood that was an optional extra and is as rare as rocking horse droppings.
I part exchanged a Vivitar series1 70-210 one-touch zoom and a Sigma 24mm f2.8 lens and paid the difference which they did me a very fair deal on the PX and I'm very happy because although the lenses I traded were optically O.K.I don't like two touch zooms they are difficult to keep in focus when you zoom without turning your wrist, and the Sigma W/A was optically very good the build quality wasn't.

I recently decided to focus my 35mm SLR use on my old non-AI Nikons (Nikkormat's mostly). I already had a few-a 50/2, 24/2.8, 28/3.5, and a 135/2.8. The prices on AI and AIS lenses was higher than I liked, so in the last two weeks, I bought a 105/2.5 (sonnar), 85/1.8, 58/1.4, and 35/2. All were pre AI, all except the 58mm were well under $100, and all were in good shape, though the 58mm is fairly stiff. I now feel like I have all the Nikkor lenses I could need.

50mm f/2 'K' Nikkor. It came with a black Nikkormat FT2.

Won a SMC Pentax-A f/3.5-4.5 35-70mm Macro Zoom from shopgoodwill. Thought it would be a good walk around lens for my MX. Upon unpacking it I found it has some scuffs on the rear element. Nothing is noticeable through the viewfinder but I’m anxious to get some film through the camera to see if the scuffing affects the images.

My lens budget is depleted at the moment, and a macro is next (either 55/3.5 or 105/4), but I'll keep it in mind.

You can pick up 55/3.5 Micro Nikkors for peanuts these days. They're fantastic performers and I think it is amazing that you can pick them up for so cheap. In fact, I have two that I'm gonna be putting up for sale soon. $40 each. Both have external wear but mint glass.

My 35-70/3.5-4.5 is the SMC Pentax-M. I used it about a month ago but the film is still in the ME Super. I like mine. It's heavy for a zoom in this range but decently sharp.

I would have preferred to have any -M lens as there is definitely a better build quality about them. I wasn't even looking for a zoom in that range, but when I saw this one my mind told me to go for it because it would be a good fit for the MX for street shooting. At $15 it's hard to go wrong with a Pentax lens. Most of the -M versions of this lens shown on eBay are about three to four times that price. If the scuffing doesn't affect image quality, I will probably be sending this one to Zacks Camera for a CLA anyway as it feels a bit dry in use.

An OM-3 I wanted came with 4 lenses I didn’t need. A 100 f/2.8 (I have the 85 f/2) 50 f/3.5 macro (have the 50 f/2 macro) 35 f/2.8 (have 35 f/2). All I can say is now I can save weight backpacking and if I want to I can just bring 49mm filters

Just got a well priced Voigtlander 75mm 2.5 color Helier. This goes with my Bessa R2 and 25, 35, 50 & 90mm lenses to make the complete set of ‘normal’ lenses.

Psssst! Thats not a slr lens, but I wont tell any one if you dont.

Whats it like? I like the later Voigtlander lens only have a 15 and 25.

Recently picked up a Nikon 28mm/2.8 Ai. Haven't shot too much with it yet, but so far I like it.

Recently gifted a Nikon F3 (number three now: F3P, F3HP, F3) along with a 28mm F2.8 Ai (already have an F2 of the same focal length), 50mm F1.8 Ai, and an 85mm F2 Ai. Will pass on the F3 and the 85mm (I have the F1.4 85mm Ais) to one of my nephews. Not certain about the 28mm (possibly a keeper considering I like the focal length, and the lens's stellar reputation) or the 50mm.

Last October I bought a Nikkor 28mm f2.8 AI-S lens from subscriber willijt. Great lens, great condition.

Prior to that purchase, I bought a 24mm f2.8 AI-S and an 85mm f2 AI-S both with caps, hoods, Nikon yellow filters and a pouch from subscriber Vincent Peri in July.
