Picked up a Toyo Field 45A with no bellows, with a new bellows included. Found on Ebay, and mostly got it to take measurements and start making some replacement parts for future use.

Also grabbed a S-K 135mm F4.7 with a Compur shutter, on a Toyo lensboard.

Got some 4x5 film holders at a local flea market, 5 of them are good and 4 of them need the hinge tape replaced, one more needs hinge tape and the darkslides are cracked.

Just got to keep an eye out for a tripod that can handle the Toyo, to complete the kit for now. One will pop up eventually!

If it's the 1400 ftlb model that I have make sure the direction and power settings are correct as it has enough power to shear the studs. LOL

Mid- torque, just enough. Still enough to snap a stud. I haven't tried it higher than the lowest setting. Cameras are still more fun than cordless tools, way more

A bit daunting, for sure. Been burning up a roll of inexpensive Chinese machine made Kozo, but feel like it's time to try and make some 'real' prints.

Cool to think they opened their doors for business when the first surgeon arrived in what was later to become Canada, and the estimated number of European settlers in New France was about 2000.

Just pulled the trigger on a cheap Olympus OM-30 to go with my (rather mint) 35-70mm f4 AF lens - aka. Olympus's first AF SLR attempt circa 1983.

And probably the best, given how utterly terrible the follow up OM707 (which I also have) was. I find it baffling how a company that gave us the Pen, Pen F, OM-1 and XA even considered letting the OM707 be realised. Must have done it while Maitani-san was on holiday or something ;-)

(in all seriousness, does anyone know the actually story on the OM707/77's development and why they took such an utterly daft approach to it?)

Today I received a bulk roll of Lucky SDH400 -- but I was unlucky, since it's not the new stuff but the aerial film that's nowhere near iso400.

It is, however, capable film - if you expose it at around iso80. I need to try extending development a bit to see if I can get a bit more speed out of it. I suspect 80 is pretty correct. But at $85 for 100 feet, it's fine.

I finally got what I was waiting for The 7 1/4" Wollensak Verito for 4x5 / 5x7. Nicer than the 8 3/4". now to add to the collection maybe next year. a longer version, maybe 11".
Also, picked up a Beseler 45M Condenser Enlarger Head which I'm quite anxious to try. The Color head was just to inconsistent, so that has to go...

A 1.6 cubic foot refrigerator from my neighbor -- perfect for long term film storage. At the MAX cooling setting it keeps the contents at 26° F. Actually, it wasn't a purchase. She gave it to me for free, and it's even cheap to operate. When the compressor is ON, it uses about the same electricity as a 75w light bulb. These are available NEW for a little over $100. They are about 18x18x18" and weigh about 35 pounds. Unlike large refrigerators, they are very quiet -- there is no fan needed.
