I’ve got it on an F4 right now, next roll will probably be on my F3/MD-4. The lens is definitely a keeper and fun to shoot with.

Fred Newman at The Darkroom Store looked around for me, and he had in stock, a smaller version (fits about 18x18 inches), perfect for my two Peco Juniors. This finishes my basic kit for these cameras and it works great, will get used to it. Since I have three Spring-Loaded Sheet Film Backs, The Galvin 2x3 (fits Graphic sheet and lever wind roll backs), The Plaubel Makiflex #526 Bail Back (fits 6x9 and 2x3 Linhof Glass Holders!, and finally, a grey 6x9 European Peco Jr Sheet Back, which came with dedicated 6x9 single shot holders, and a couple of double sided, too. This hood works with all of these, and is very well designed to be useful to me. Much nicer than the olde horse blanket! Camera shown with my Fuji GX680 180mm F3.2 in Seiko Shutter.

Not a purchase, but a kind soul just sent me 15 rolls of Portra, because they stopped shooting film a few years ago.

I was in Greece on one of the islands and I dropped in to a small camera store just to chat and ask were the "secret places" that only the locals knew about were. The owner took one look at my Hasselblad and gave me a bunch of Kodak Portra 400 120 rolls and told me that it was better that I use it than let the film go bad in his store. I offered to pay for them and he said, that I wanted me to take great photographs of his island and the rest of Greece instead. I am happy to see that you are now in the same club.

Two thrift shops on the way to pick up the dog at the groomer:

- small camera bag, good for a folder - has waist belt strapping
- Argus A2, with case! (my second A2 - why?)
- a set of glass graduates 10 to 100ml plus the three larger ones, tumbler style

I am out twenty eight bucks!

Replacing a lens hood that made an escape when I fell on slick ice at the south rim of the Grand Canyon.

The snow and melted and refroze many times of several days so it was very hard, shiny and of course very slippery. The lens hood cost $8.53 and the shipping was $9.75. Since I was a long time skier, I knew how to fall, but getting back up twisted one knee. I purchased a telescoping walking stick with a spike at the end and slip in crampons. The walking stick worked well but was a pita when I wanted to use the camera. The crampons worked much better but for some reason the shops took exception to me wearing them in the stores. Go figure.

Aren't slip-on crampons also slip-off? But yes, it's just like the pro shop at the golf course not allowing golf spikes inside the shop...

This was my first professional grade enlarger. I bought it in the late 80s, if I remember correctly. It came with an 80mm lens. It was an awesome piece of gear. I still miss it.

Aren't slip-on crampons also slip-off? But yes, it's just like the pro shop at the golf course not allowing golf spikes inside the shop...

And pro shops should love to show others in store how many people are wearing their shoes.
