A Vivitar Series 1 70/210 in Minolta Fitting. Going by the serial number code it is one of the early ones but is beautifully sharp even at F3.5 with only a little softening in the corners. By F5.6 it is sharp all over. Bought on the back of the purchase before that which was a Vivitar Series 1 28/90 which like the the 70/210 is as sharp as anything I have used before.

An Exa version 6. Always had a softspot for Exakta/Exa cameras, this is my fifth. Has a snappy 1/150 seconds top shutter speed with the strange mirror based shutter.

Bought a snap ring pliers kit at a flea market. While it is not photo related, it will be very useful when I'm working on my cameras and lenses.

Blue-Point PR-37 & PR-38 with tips kit for 6$.

Did it again! Bought another Contax film cassette, which brings my total to six. My friends gave me two with metal canisters, bought two with no canisters, and two with flimsy plastic canisters, so these probably never used. Also was able to buy an imitation Contax film cutting template since the tongue that is inserted into the spool is difficult to cut in a changing bag. The originals are coveted by collectors and sell for ridiculous amounts of money.

my brother had one when i was a kid, its all jammed up now
someplace hidden in "the museum" and i saw this thing and

at it and holding it and playing with it in disbelief that i own it

My usual order to Archival Methods for mat and backing board. I am finishing up two recent projects. Board and paper seem to comprise the bulk of my budget lately. You'd think it would be inexpensive but a mat costs more than a roll of film, and backing board is more expensive than a sheet of photographic paper.

Earlier this year I invested in an Epson 850 Po for scanning and slightly enlarging my 4x5 negatives up to 8x10 onto Pictorico for my alternative (read 'archaic') print processes meaning ai don't have to purchase as much 'real' 8x10 film.

XA2 came in the mail.

Needs new light seals but testing out with a junked roll first. I don't feel like redoing the seals on such a small camera. Hopefully bad seals wont made a difference and I'll just leave it alone.
