Film. I have not picked up my 35mm in years. Then, i see references on APUG to the cinema 5222 film from the filmphotographyproject.com and suddenly i decide to buy a bumper crop of this film. So i may find myself trying to do the likes of HiHoSilver ColColt pentakpete and others in the 35/120 crowd who bring so many cool photos to the gallery. But, i don't do "street photography" or candid photographing well. So, time will tell if i find my way with the 35mm again. Just today i exposed a 4x5 film of a tree. I love using that camera (Chamonix) and don't really know how to go back - takes a different mindset but i am looking forward to the renewed adventure. My new film will go into a contax RTS ii and pentax k2.

I finally got my Leica M2 repaired. A couple of gears inside needed replacing. With the repair I also got my new (to me) 90mm Elmar CLAd, and with it I bought an original Leica thread mount to bayonet adapter, so I can start using the lens. So very happy to have the camera working again.

60 rolls of Kodak Plus-X 120 film that has been stored frozen.

An original Diana camera. For 20 bucks. Let's see what transpires.

2kg of Citric acid

Sirius Glass

I wondered who got the Plus-X. Very nice.

A Nikon AR-2 cable release, which happens to be the perfect design to use with a Yashica LM TLR.

And half the price of TLR-specific ebay auctions.

An Omega distortion correction attachment negative carrier (#7439) for my D5XL enlarger. Glennview advises it will work with the D5 chassis, even though it was originally marketed for the D2/D3. They want $300 for theirs. This one was $49 (w/4x5 carrier, and original instructions/box) in what appears to be fine shape.

Omegas are very nice enlargers. But they are a challenge to align plane parallel at all three stages. I won't really use this for distortion alteration. Instead, I'm hoping it might make parallel alignment of my negative stage a little bit easier. This is the stage where I seem to have the most trouble.

At $49 it's worth a try. At $300, not so much.

150 sheets WP film and 10 5x7 film holders. Not sure how that's going to work out, perhaps I can find some WP holders and 5x7 film next. :D Oh and right before this purchase I scored a beautiful Burke & James branded Wollensak 15" f5.6 telephoto lens for my girlfriends B&J Commercial View 5x7.

A 12.7cm x 76m (5" x 250ft) roll of Multigrade IV RC De Luxe Glossy paper. That's enough for over 400 7x5b prints. I'm current using a similar roll of Kodak Polymax II that I was given over a decade ago, apart from some hand made books I've not printed this small for myself for over 30 years.

A 50 sheet box of 11x14 Kentmere Fineprint VC Finegrain dbl wt. glossy. The little bit I have used this paper I really like the gloss surface, but had a bit of trouble taming contrast with Ilford filters on a Beseler.

Nothing too exciting: I just ordered 10 batteries, silver oxide size 357, for my various cameras. And I picked up a 28A for the Bronica ETRS from Batteries Plus on Sunday.

It's been a day or two, but...

a Calumet Genesis GF400 off-camera bare-bulb flash (400 w/s, all kinds of gee-whiz features including remote power level setting and stroboscopic effect, runs on a rechargeable external battery pack), a Godox 36" umbrella softbox, four pro-packs of 120 Tri-X. I won't mention the digital kit upgrade I just bought other than to say it was a major upgrade over my old rig, includes some really nice prime lenses, and cuts the weight of my kit by more than half.

Oh, and some plate glass for framing to display some platinum prints and photogravures in the exhibition I've curated and am in the process of hanging.

6x6 Franka folder from fifties. It was listed on ebay with not infocus images taken by mobile phone under very small price as OK camera. It was delivered few days ago. Lens appeared to be totally busted after flashlight check. But I didn't gave up and cleaned it with special mix (recipient provided in one of the Leica repair manual). Lens looks fine now. But not calibrated yet...

Yesterday I bought a 15" f5.6 Wollensak Tele-Raptar in an Alphax #4 shutter. Gonna give it a go on my Arca Swiss 4x5 when I get a lens board worked out.

Thanks to APUG and FADU, especially post/writings and photos from Ian Grant, Sandy King, Christopher (Walrath), Peter Elgar, Gerald, Matt, Ron and others (you know who you are). They've motivated me to buy some raw chemicals and a digital scale. You can guess what's coming.

A MD-12 for $20, plus tax. Going to try to add an F4s sometime within the next week or two. Local shop has one that I can get for $60. Needs a replacement DP-20 finder, due to the LCD panel bleeding, but otherwise seems to be in good working order.

Also bought a couple 10-pin remote terminal caps. One to replace the one that fell off my F5 recently, and the other to replace the long-MIA one on my DPUG body.
