Just now ordered some AFC, EDTA and more gelatin from B&S to try making some chiba system "direct carbon" gelatin pigment prints.

I'm planning to use William Mortensen's Dead Link Removed to make 11x14 negatives from 6x9 film, and took some pictures during my recent vacation with this process in mind!

I've played around with this wet negative process enough now to be confident of making a good negative. I recommend trying it if only to see the "light show". In order to really see it, turn off your safelight while making the exposure onto the wet photopaper, it's pretty fun!

Also ordered pigments from Dick Blick art supply, and some rubylith which I hope to use for masking neat borders on salt prints and other contact prints maybe including this new gelatin pigment printing process.

I still get small blurry areas whenever I try to make "wet" contact prints with photopaper, so a couple nice heavy sheets of glass with ground edges will be the next thing I"ll be hunting for. I'm going to work with dry contact prints for all of this.

Two pinhole cameras: the RealitySoSubtle 6x17 Panoramic and the RealitySoSubtle 4x5".
(very well made, from http://aupremierplan.fr)

Wow, they are nice !
How many pinhole cameras do you have by now ?

Do I have to answer this ??

Without looking: 4x self build wooden cameras, converted Gevabox, converted Agfa Clack, converted Agfa Click, pinhole body caps, Natasha 6x18, Zero Image 6x9, Holga 6x6, Holga WPC, 2x RealitySoSubtle, Santa Barbara 4x5", 2x Noon 6x17, Tin can cam 8x10", ...
(I wonder what I forgot to mention)

But still in need of a good 5x7" sheet film pinhole camera.

another 10x8 flim hodler

Pentacon Six TL with 80mm Biometar for €127. I don't know whether they worth that price but I want to try CZJ 180mm Sonnar.

7 pro-packs Ektar 100, 2 Portra 400, and 2 Tri-X in 120. Finishing stocking up in prep for my fall vacation with the Rolleiflexes. That should bring me up to 15 pro-packs Tri-X, 15 pro-packs Ektar 100, and two Porta 400. I MIGHT at the last minute grab a couple pro-packs of Portra 800 for interiors but I've heard the 400 pushes extremely well so the 800 might be overkill.

Contax RTS body to go with my Planar 50/1.4 and some more Instax Mini film for some TLR give-away portraits.

Ha! The difference between ToadMen and me is that if I decide I need another pinhole camera and there's no space left on the shelf, I can just throw one of the old ones in the recycling bin! Then again his cameras are a lot nicer than mine

I'm looking forward to the USPS bringing me a Nikkor 200 mm and Nikkor 135 mm for my Bronica S2a. Mmmmmm.....sharp Nikkors on 6 x 6 film. :munch:

Two fresh rolls of Agfa APX 100 B&W film (expiring 2019). I was in Germany and found these films on the shelf in a simple drug store (called DM) for 3.49 each. They also still sold Kodak Gold and Agfa Vista.

A stack of 75 rolls of Fuji NPC160 roll film (frozen, expired 2005) coming in from Italy.
My favorite film for my pinhole cameras.

Sunpak CV-1 adapter plug from the Evil Auction Site via the Adorama used equipment department. US$10.50, plus shipping. These adapters don't come up too frequently. I waited several months for this one.

This is the guy that allows one to connect the Sunpak TR-Pak IIa external belt battery pack to a Sunpak 611, 622 or 622S flash unit. It replaces the huge 4 C-cell front battery chamber on the flash itself, and thus significantly reduces both bulk and weight.

I don't normally need the fast recycle times when using my 622S on the 4x5 Crown Graphic. But sometimes I do need the extended battery life these packs provide if I'm out all day at an event like an airshow, or somewhere similar.

A bidet so I don't spend as much time on the darkroom toilet. Also 2 cases of museum rag mat board.

Am I the only one who saw this and thought it was worth having... because nothing can go wrong with it.

Unlike the electronic densitometer I've been using which could go out of calibration or pop a transistor or capacitor anytime.

This one's based on the "inverse square" law...

I dropped my glass thermometer today so got a new one at Amazon.
Also three plastic sheets and three black paint spray cans at Home Depot to light seal my darkroom bathroom.

Hmm, interesting idea.
Probably it can wash paper too.

Seven 135 format films (exp. date 2014 and 2015) discounted for $45 in a local store:

2x Velvia 50
2x Velvia 100
1x Velvia 100F
2x Portra 800

Holy string of excited expletives! Not for the item, but for the fast shipping from Japan - 6 days from purchase, 4 days from the seller putting it in the mail - I'm impressed. It was an APUG thread on Japanese ebay vendors that convinced me to give it a shot.

I rarely use ebay anymore, but I just took possession of an used Bronica Speedlight G1 for my GS-1 camera. It has the sync cable and soft-case, and even came with Japanese double-A batteries (probably not the best idea to ship in the flash).

The flash is in very nice shape with some scuffs from normal usage (accurately described by the seller), and appears to work just fine. I'm sure I can figure out the basic functions, but have no idea how to take full advantage of the features, let alone fully test it. I'm looking for an online manual now... well, after I can see again.

Needless to say, I'm quite pleased.

I took delivery of a Fuji GL690 in about 4 days from Japan this week, and it was my first purchase from Japan as well. I would do it again in a heartbeat. I also stopped by the local camera store for various items for the Fuji like a cap, filter, strap, etc. I love being able to still buy used accessories locally and cheaply.

Ordered a Waist Level Finder from Japan two days ago. It's for the Pentax 6x7. I'm hoping this will give me a bit more eye relief. Getting old is not for sissies.
