what waS your last photography related purchase?

Shows you're not sophisticated. It's actually lacquer thinner with a hint of toluene.

Oh, that's only in the good stuff.

Two 36" 100ft rolls of 250gsm RC inkjet printing paper. I did a test with dozens of types of paper recently - the results differed only marginally between high-grade (Hahnemühle) and budget papers, and frankly, they all performed marvelously.

So now I got those two big rolls on sale, which will give me many hours of pleasurable printmaking that doesn't require me to lock myself up in a dark closet.

Another Grafmatic 45 No. 1268 4x5 film holder with septums

A great score Rolleifix....$40 on Eb*y....& located in Canada so quick delivery without the pain of Eb*y's global shipping.

I ran out of chemistry, so I got some B&W developer, fixer, as well as these two colour kits with my last shipment form Fotoimpex:

Got a discount on short dated film from a local lab - all expiring in 2026

My wife's uncle, who was crazy into photography his whole life, due to health reasons, gifted me his MF gear, while we visited him this evening. Previously, he gifted me his Grandfather's C330, and that is pretty much what kickstarted my own journey in this amazing hobby, way back in '92. I'm now the proud owner of a Mamiya 645 kit! Two holders and 7 lenses!

Legacy and continuity. What a wonderful gift.

A Feinwerk MEC 16 SB 2.8.

I already have a MEC 16 SB 2.0, but I ran across this other one at a GREAT price because the seller thought it was broken since the film advance lever was stuck. What the seller didn't know is that this is normal when the film counter reaches 24. To top it off, the camera even came with TWO take-up cassettes -- worth what I pay for the camera!!!

So now I have both -- the 2.8 (Color-Ennit) on the left and the 2.0 (Rodenstock Heligon) on the right. Most people don't know that there were TWO versions of the MEC 16 SB -- and they BOTH have the Gossen TTL meter, the FIRST TTL metering in any camera of any size (1960).

Continuing the (non made-in-USA) film change journey...... a bunch of Ilford Delta 400 in both 35mm & 120!
The Camera Store in Calgary continues to rock! 30 yrs & going strong......(a long long time since Julan and Peter were working @Camtech @Nove photo...which no longer exist)

Do those use Rada cassettes for supply?

Feinwerk made feeder cassettes for the MEC cameras, but they do not have removeable caps, like the take-up cassettes -- and are very slightly different in shape. For feeder cassettes, you have several options. First, you can reload a feeder cassette by pushing film into it. You can also use a take-up cassette as a feeder. And other 16mm cassettes can be used too, like Rada, Rollei, Meopta Mikroma, and perhaps others like Steky.

If the substitute cassettes are not as thick/high/wide as the MEC cassette, you can avoid film transport problems by placing thin washers (of the appropriate thickness) on the top and bottom of the substitute feeder cassette. For example, the Meopta cassettes are the correct height, but the Rada cassettes are a little short.

Good score K, but you say that like a dark closet is a bad thing....

A fine fine gift
Andrew......lots of potential there <3

3 boxes of 4x5 hp5
5 boxes of polaroid 600 BW

Bottle of hc110. Ths was my third try at xtol-r but using it in a deep tank with floating lid…..with the same results, lack of confidence on my part, never 100% knowing if the activity level is correct. I don't like the developer activity being a variable in my process.

Two 1TB memory sticks.

Well I just purchased a pro-pack of TMX and a couple more rolls good British Made Kentmere 200! Why my people stayed in Virginia instead of trekking north with the Loyalists I'll never know.

A box of Fuji Provia in 4x5 and a some Delta 400 and Kentmere Pan 200 in 35mm.

A 50 sheet box of E100 in 5x7 was just shipped to me thanks to Keith Canham. I also bought a box of Delta 100 in 5x7.
