Fifty-six NOS Sylvania Press 25 clear flashbulbs for 56-cents each. All of the visible dots were nicely blue. No pinks. And the bases looked nice and clean. Fifty-six cents apiece is just too good to pass up.

With the weather beginning to improve (very early for that here), these flashbulbs, and my new-to-me Grafmatic film holder, I feel an evening Pacemaker trip to the Seattle waterfront coming on...

Some RA 4 chemicals and paper to try out printing some color negatives, 10 rolls Rollei Superpan in 120, A Minolta Hi Matic AF (because why not) and some poplar to make a pinhole camera. Now if only I could find enough time.

Six Nikkormat bodies... A chrome FT, two chrome FT2, black FTn, and two chrome ELs. The FT is useable as is. Meter's a little jumpy, but I've seen worse. One chrome FT2 is fine, only twitched once, needle-wise. Did need a better prism, which I happened to have in my Nikon parts box. The other two FT series bodies are what I mean when I've seen worse. Neither body had a useable meter. Both had enough issues with them that I parted them out. I need to get a good PX28 to try the EL bodies out with. Nice thing about the FT and the FT2 that worked is that they both have new light seals installed. So, I will put them to use in the next 2-3 weeks. Need to finish up the rolls of Ektar in the F2AS and FM2n, and the roll of Portra 400 in the black Nikomat FTn first. Maybe load them up for the Skagit valley tulip fields and go up there for the day.

Exakta VX1000, always fancied one.

It does have the "softer" Meritar lens though, but I'm not complaining at the price I paid.

some swatches of watercolour paper to test for salt & cyano

+1.0 and +1.5 diopter correction lenses for the Mamiya TLR prism finder. Was also generously gifted a full set of mint Mamiya sportsfinder masks for the four telephotos in the lens line. They all look brand new.

Also, a new replacement set of 1-micron filter cartridges for my darkroom water system. These sit inline for both the hot and cold water inputs upstream from the Hass Intellifaucet. Cheap protection for expensive solenoid valves.

nice! But why not bigger? dont get me wrong John I love small prints and often print small (but whenever someone mentions tiny prints, photos by Jan Soudek or Masao Yamamoto come to mind).

i am not allowed to talk about why it is so small
other than to say it was made in an alternate reality and it was the biggest print i could coax from the medium.
i electrifyed it yesterday and made it larger and brought it back to the lab to do some sort
of alien technology "stuff" to it .. in a week it becomes a painting looking thing on canvas.
while i was there a photog from across the state and i chatted about life, film and the box of lies.
he told me how he was given an exacta a few weeks ago .. he promptly used it
gave a print made from it to a friend and blew his mind.

our printer is world class !
