A Tim Rudman darkroom book... almost!
Seller managed to send it to a street address three towns away from me.
Presumably lost at this point....

Same Tim Rudman's darkroom book, from another used book vendor, as first one (above) never got here.
Impressive reference.

A Nikon N90s from forum member, arriving today!

EDIT: let's add a retina III C at an estate sale this morning, price too low to mention..!

Yesterday I ordered two spools of (claimed) opaque black filament for my (new last weekend) Ender 3 3D printer.

Yes, it's photo related; I plan to use it to print pinhole cameras and other parts that need to be light-tight.

Oh my, we will need to get a specific and ongoing thread on that (or is there one already?).
You may even upgrade to vendor status...!

Heh. I'm not sure of the ethics of printing a camera from someone else's (free) design and selling the resulting physical object. At the least, I'd have to verify the license on the Thingiverse entry.

Also, I still have to verify that the filament is actually opaque. Most black filament isn't, at a 1 mm wall thickness. For vendor status, I'd need to upgrade my workspace to have room for multiple printers -- I printed a fairly simple add-on to keep the ham radio antenna on my car from folding over at highway speeds (designed to fold for low garage entrances and the like), and it took five-plus hours to print. The main body (only!) for a Brancopan looks likely to be a 12+ hour print.

Filament is cheap(ish), $20/kg for the generic stuff, $32/kg for the special opaque variety I just ordered -- but printer time is the bottleneck, even if I'm not having to learn new tricks in FreeCAD and Cura Slicer to design a thing to print successfully.

zeiss ze 35mm f2.jpg

I picked up this little gem last week. It should work nicely on my 1V, not to mention other... uh... cameras.

How did I manage to not identify the lens?? It's a Zeiss ZE 35mm f2 Distagon, from their pre-Milvus line.

A box of 50 sheets 24x30 cm FOMABROM 111 and a box of 50 sheets 24x30 cm FOMATONE 131, directly from the Foma factory in Bohemia/Czech Republic.
They, Foma, are situated in the same region (Bohemia) where psychologist Sigismund Freud, the composer Léos Janáceck and the magnificent photographer Josef Sudek (my hero) were born.
For me, this alone is a reason to buy over there, besides the undoubtable fact that Foma has excellent products!

Today, I bought one roll of 135, Fuji Velvia 100. (I haven't bought any film for many years because I have always had plenty in my freezer) I cant believe how expensive film is today, I'm not surprised people shoot digital these days.

1 L Ilford Rapidfix; 2 rolls 135mm ADOX CHS 100 II; 2 rolls HP5+; 1 roll FP4+; 1 ea. 135 Fomapan 100/200/400 (kind of want to weigh the benefits/ drawbacks of each, and see if one or more of the Fomapan offerings really click with me).

I'm very fond of Foma fiberbase papers. Fomatone is amazing. I have some of the Fomalux contact speed paper in my refrigerator, I really like it, unfortunately Foma didn't have enough customers to keep it around.
I've found (unscientific observations) the emulsion a bit more delicate than Ilford, I use a hardener after toning. I do this with everything, not sure it's needed?

Sorry Mshchem, for the rather late response.
And, yes, FOMA is amazing.
About the hardening: years ago I had a bad experience wit their roll films, a kind of vulnerability or 'scratching' during developing, but some time later they must have solved that problem. The FB paper does not pose any issues to my experience.
I have to admit that I am not found of hardener, it prevents efficient washing!

I was told that the original factory was built by KODAK in the 1920's to manufacture their products closer to the easter part of Europe. The plant was nationalised after WW2 when the Soviets toke over society and the iron curtain closed. Then it became part of FORTE, but I am not certain of this.
