what waS your last photography related purchase?

Minolta 135/2.8 MC Tele Rokkor-PF. This is part of my 35mm/58mm/100mm/135mm set for my SRT-101's. Conceivably I could get a 28mm, but I rarely shoot that wide.

Note that this lens has a built-in telescoping hood.

 
Happy New Year from me too! I found some HP5+ in 120 in Boots at London Liverpool Street Station last week; respect to you Boots.
 
Don't know how well eye focus works, haven't given it much use yet, but the first thing I did was to disable beeping and set it to leave the leader out.

Well, I never use the eye-focus because I wear glasses but it works fine for focus point around the center. You just have to calibrate it first so the camera can learn the movements of your eye. I tried it without my glasses, couldn't see much but it still followed my eye and focused on the focus point I was looking at. We had the technology heh

I purchased the service of C-41 developing for about 10 rolls of Ektar that I didn't feel like developing myself. Tonight I will print some for the first time since February, instead of risking my life on the roads to celebrate a holiday I really don't understand.
 
I find that both my eye-focus control Canon bodies (EOS 30/Elan 7e and EOS 50/IIe) work both with and without my glasses, provided that I prepare separate calibrations with and without glasses!
But you should be aware that the eye control focus doesn't work for some people, and that it is probably impossible to tell if you are in that group until you actually try it for awhile. That made these cameras a retailer's nightmare, and that is probably why that feature is not found in any Canon digital cameras.

The eye-control on my Elan 7NE works well without glasses in both bright and dim (interior) light. With glasses, that calibration works well only in bright light.

Ansel Adams 2019 wall calendars. Makes looking at a calendar enjoyable and there is usually at least one picture or more made before lenses were "coated", proving that in B&W, lens coating is not that important................Regards!

Lucky you! - I miss their papers Emaks and Varycon. Still have a 5x7 box of Adox Vario Classic (Varycon).

It's a great film I still have a few boxes left, 2 or 3 10x8, half a box of 5x4, and an unopened box of Quarter plate. I've been using it since the early 1970's when it was Kb14 for the 35mm version.

Back in the early 70's it was claimed that you could get LF quality from a 35mm camera using the film, the same claims were made for microfilms. Back then the hardening was zero and it needed extreme care, I used a hardening stop bath and later added formalin to my developer. With a top end camera lens and a good tripod it was way better than Microfilm or Technical Pan.

Was it LF quality ? Well yes/no - it was superb very sharp, incredibly fine grained with a good tonal range - unlike Microfilm or Tech Pan - but on the other hand it was available in 120 and as sheet film so how do you compare. It was the highest quality available from any 35mm normal film, microfilms and Technical Pan needed special development and didn't have normal tonality

In the end I stopped using the 35mm version quite early on but only because the Daylight 40/50 ISO speed made it less attractive for hand held use and I was mainly shooting 5x4. It was a point where I began using 35mm mainly as a diary alongside my LF work.

It's the ideal film for a range-finder Leica So enjoy it's a match made in heaven.

Just received today, a Fujinon T 400 f/8 lens for my 4x5's. Ordered on Monday, received today. Great shipping service. Lens is near perfect, not a scratch, mark, dust, separation, or fungus. Everything functions crisply.

Just waiting for some improved weather to get this one out for a test.
 
Just snagged a complete Mitchell Colorbrator I have a ColorStar 3000 which I know pairs perfectly with it (program it in 3 easy steps). I had been keeping my eyes peeled on eBay for over a year hoping one would pop up - which it finally did. A rare find. Perfect color analyser calibration in a single print.
