Another Perceptol fan! The development times aren't exactly short, but I have plenty of tunes to listen to while I'm waiting for it to finish doing its thing.

At the local used shop, they had a used Bogen 3035 with a broken 3047 head (it won't lock, even with the tension screw tightened) listed "as is" for $20. It's now mine.

The legs need some maintenance, such as cleaning, and a new bubble level (on order).

Found a Ricoh "35", and Kodak 616 folder... in a cupboard in the school darkroom. Ran some HP5 through the Ricoh. Came out lovely. What a cool little rangefinder camera. The Kodak folder is in very good condition. I see that one can purchase adapters to take 120 film... anyone out there recommend a good place to order them from? Thanks!

This purchase made a lot of sense because I have two Canon F1ns and I can use it on both of them and I only paid £40 for it.

A new Epson Perfection V850 Pro scanner for my 4x5 work. I often prefer to scan first before I do analog prints in the darkroom. I also picked up the fluid mount accessory. I like that it comes with digital ice, SilverFast, and two sets of film mount holders. Also picked up a scanner cover (learned the hard way in the past not having one). The V850 will be used mostly for my large format work (4x5 now, maybe 8x10 later) and compliments my Nikon Super Coolscan 9000ED scanner I use mostly for 6x7. I know the Epson stock holders are not ideal - I might look for a better aftermarket 4x5 holder as there are a few. Suggestions?

I've been using the V850 for about 2.5 years, and I'm extremely happy. Before that I used a Canon, and it was a real disappointment.

I opted for the frames made by Better Scanning. I have a lot of medium format slides/negs, and their film holders are really top notch.

Just received my Minox BL in mail. Replaces my BL which was ruined when I neglected to remove batteries. Like it’s deceas predecessor, very clean with crystal clear viewfinder. For those unfamiliar with the BL, it has a built in selenium meter but completely manual exposure. Very useful for slow shutter speeds since Minox C and LX only tell that exposure is 1/30 or slower. But how much slower? Big difference between 1/30, 1/20 and 1/10 or less. Because eyes adjust to light, difficult to guess what less than 1/30 shutter speed could be.

A 5 roll Paterson developing tank. I put my previous one in a greenhouse one hot day last year, forgot about it, and the next day found it melted.

I managed with a couple of two roll tank ever since, but with a whole summer's film to develop, thought I'd splash the cash on a bigger tank.

Actually, your Minox BL has a CdS meter (hence the batteries). It is a CdS version of the Selenium-metered Minox B. You also have the advantage of not wasting a frame if you close it without making a photo.

So, congratulations! In my opinion, you have the best of the Minoxes.

Some more XP2 and Fujicolour 400 in 35mm. The C200 is pretty decent too btw, and a bit cheaper. I find that the extra speed of the 400 is always welcome, especially with the nights drawing in now (winter is coming...).
