Shades of Grey by Oscar Marzaroli & William McIlvanney (Glasgow 1956-1987)
I got it for a song at a permanent flea market  Anyone else feel the need to save photography related books and literature?

I love his work-I remember going to see a show of his pictures at the RPS in Bath in the 90s, and the group Deacon Blue used several of his pictures on their album covers (such as 'Raintown').

Pocket Wizards was my last purchase that changed my photography forever. Now I can fire my speed lights from just about anywhere. I don’t need to depend on the location of the little, oddly placed, optical slave.

I used optical slaves back when a pair of decent radios cost north of $500! I don’t miss them at all!

My last purchase was a Leitz DOORX extension tube for my Valoy 2 enlarger. I have just received it and it would not fit the enlarger. I carefully checked and took out an extension tube (the one that I thought I had lost). Now, I have two. I did put the new (to me) one in the enlarger. I will keep the extra and that way, never lose the one in the enlarger (experience speaking)........Regards!

Three photo books yesterday including a textbook and Tiffen Filter Guide, nothing special, bought a Rapid Omega 100 for $50 bucks and a Gralab 300 $50 at the Omaha Camera Show last Sunday.

Not yet paid for but I have reserved an almost mint condition Minolta XE1 complete with 35mm F2.8 lens. I am becoming more and more disillusioned with D.....L. As no new quality 35mm SLR's are being made, I am building up my reserve of older quality film cameras that are still around. It will make a good partner for my recently refurbished Minolta XM. Now if I could only find a Minolta 20mm F2.8 at a knock down price that would be magical

Now paid for and better than described in the advert. The 35mm F2.8 Rokkor lens is as clear as crystal. The shutter is crisp and as far as I can judge prettey well spot on that makes no different. It is so clean that it could have just come out of a sealed box. All this for £89 (UK)

Another 50/2 Nikkor-H. It was cheap, and I needed an extra. Has a dented filter ring, but that's about it. Pre-AI version, so it's currently hanging off the front of one of my FTn bodies. Also grabbed a new DK-19 for the F5 that I just grabbed.

*edit* A few hours later, noticed that Roberts Camera had an $81 MD-1/MB-1 drive for sale. Well, that's on its way to me now.

An X-rite 361T densitometer since none of my other ones measure a UV response!

Refoam job on my black FTn, a 105/2.5 Nikkor-P parts lens, and an ok condition 55/3.5 Micro-Nikkor-PC, as well as the film processing I had done.

Blotter book so I could bring my prints home from Art Intersection darkroom instead coming back the next day. Then just prior to that some Ilford warmtone 8x10 fiber paper, a binder box and negative sleeves so I could store and print my 810 pinhole images. Oh and let’s not forget a membership and lab hours at Art Intersection in Gilbert AZ. I’m on vacation visiting my folks, and really having fun.
