what waS your last photography related purchase?

More books. Josef Koudelka: Koudelka and Bystander: A History of Street Photography.

An enlarger, easels, timer, grain magnifier, and negative carriers for 35mm and 120 film. I'm finally going to set up a darkroom!

A book!:
the KODAK Workshop Series: Color Printing Techniques

A thrift store purchase - a 5 litre container that should be perfect for mixing up X-Tol.

A Super-Takumar 28/3.5 in extremely nice condition. The aperture ring and focus ring on these M42 mount Takumars are the smoothest I've ever experienced.

Note the red f/8 designation and the red-marked hyperfocal distance for that setting. I've seen this only on the 28/3.5 and 35/3.5 lenses. Are there others with this red marking?

I don't have a 35mm f3.5 Takumar but the same markings are on the SMC Pentax K 28/3.5

Thrift stores are great...I have some ancient Bromesko in my stash from a cracking little shop in my hometown and the same place yielded lots of out of date but still usable film. Konica VX at 30p a roll- bargain!

Ilford 6x6 multigrade filters, D-23 and Adox paper (sample).

Not a purchase, but my friend gave me a lens shade for 50 mm 2.8 Canon ltm lens along with some 34mm filters. Searched and searched dealers and that auction site with no luck.

Did some horse trading with a local shop this morning. I traded off some M/F 35mm, a bit of cash, and ended up with a Hassy 500 C/M in beautiful shape. Now, to "re-learn" just how great these cameras are.

Voigtländer 40mm f2 Ultron SLIIS AIS for my FM3a.

The majestic Nikon L37c filter.

EDIT: oops, it's a slightly less majestic L37 (no NIC coating).

35mm f/2 and 24mm f/3.5 have the hyperfocal markings too.

An incredible stack of books from our local bookstore. Appears to be from one collection, a friend of several local photographers. While looking through some of the slimmer soft bound books at the store, I was thinking “these are exactly the kind of pictures jnanian takes”. I don’t even have time to read them all...

Tetenal Protectan aerosol! gotta keep those chems fresh
