Ya, I am really careful screwing in the battery cap on the V. Just a wee bit off kilter and it mis-threads.

Grease the o-ring and turn the battery cap counter clockwise until it clicks over the threads and then turn clockwise to tighten.

Haha this is a pretty funny thread, looks like it has been dormant for a while - here goes

My old Nikon D-300 and the Tokina 17-55/2.8 (DX), Tamron 12-24/F4 (DX) and a Nikon 70-200 F2.8 D (FF). Had moved first to Fuji and now to Nikon Z (FF) and none of those screw drive lenses would work with either system. I do miss the 70-200/2.8 ....my first real "pro" lens but it was huge and heavy. All sold to KEH or someone like that - I was glad someone else could use them... tried to give them to my grown kids but they are all using MFT...."Dad that stuff it too big" Although one took my old 70's era Vivitar MF 200/F3.5 and Micro Nikon 55/F2.8 and said they were "fun".

I just sold a 150mm lens for the Mamiya 6, because I accidently wound up with 2 of them.
