My Nikon N8008s w/ a first generation Leica R 90 2.8 lens, adapter and filters. Hands down the best combination of consistent, spot on exposures and image quality that I ever owned. When it was off, it was my fault.

Sold it because: largish and heavy combo. It was more than I wanted to tote day in and day out. Decided to go w/ a tiny, light Pentax SLR w/ a nifty 50 lens. Eventually I'll get a 90 2.0 lens, but this is a setup that I enjoy taking w/ me everywhere, anytime. Image quality is usually not what I had, but close enough on most pics. Just requires more effort to get the exposures right. No big deal. Everything w/ daily use photography is a compromise.

I just sold off most of my Fuji digital kit because:

- I haven't used it in at least a year
- I have GAS and I wanted the cash to get more manual Nikon stuff without dipping into savings

Nikon LiteTouch Zoom 120.
Because I don't use compact cameras.

Someone sold me a big crate full of (mostly compact) cameras for a bargain. I am now testing them, cleaning and selling them 1 by 1.

I sold a Spotmatic II and a 50mm f/1.4 Takumar to a friend. I sort of regret it now, but my plan is to buy a Spotmatic F to get open aperture metering. Now to find a functioning F.

Full Pentax 6x7 kit...four or five lenses, extension tubes, filters, case. All in great condition. Why? I had four medium format cameras, and as many tax dependents. Something had to go.

And...while I won't say I regret selling the Pentaxes (two of them, actually) and keeping the Mamiya RB67s.............

Voigtlander Super-Wide Heliar 15mm LTM because it, while a very nice lens, was a bit too niche for my needs.

Fujinon XF 100-400, 8-16, and 18-55 lenses. Why? Because my Fujifilm X-T2 packsack weighed the same as my Wista 4x5 gear packsack.

Now have the XF 16-80 and XF 70-300 (with 1.4 TC) so the range is about the same, but weighs much less.

I have not sold anything for years. Probably because I am cautious about making photographic purchases, especially lenses. That does not explain dropping about $2,000 on lenses in the last week, but that I covered in the recent purchases thread.

A couple of 35mm cameras, because I don't shoot 35mm. There are other items I have for sale, I don't use them so they need homes where they will be used. Well, that and I need some extra cash to pay off my hospital bills.

A sliding tripod mount for a Kodak 2D 8X10 camera. Why?

I buy high and sell low but I make it up in volume. It's what I do. I'm in my 8th decade of life (barely) and if I die with all this crap sitting around, my kids are gonna be overwhelmed. Anybody need a Packard shutter?

A Fuji EF-X20 flash. No more Fuji digital so no longer needed this. No longer made and goes for crazy money on ebay, but frankly a terrible flash if you need something that recycles on the same day that you took a pic. This thing is sloooooowwww. Guess that is because Fuji went with 2 AAA alkaline batteries.

I recently donated a bunch of cameras to a neighbor who is raising money for Argus Museum in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

101. 35mm Stereo Cameras: TDC Colorist II, Revere 33 - stereo is a bit fiddly for me
102. Miranda Sensorex, 50/1.4 - great camera, stylish, just don't use much
103. Nikonos V orange with 35/2.5 kit, bag, o-rings, grease - great camera, just don't use much
104. Minolta SRT102 with 75-260 zoom - a bit big and clunky
108. Canon FTb black + Canon FDn 50/1.4 - I had T90 as my big FD camera
111. Petri Color 35 compact rangefinder - decided to keep Rollei 35 instead
112. Pentax PC35 AF-M Point'n Shoot - decided to quit P&S

A 10-roll brick of Cinestill 400D in 120 size.
I supported the 220 program...
I don't need more 120 film, have plenty in the freezer...so I sold it, got my money back.

Pentax P30t with 28-80 SMC-A zoom;
Pentax P30 with 35-70 SMC-A push-pull zoom;
Pentax P30 with SMC-A 50/1.7 prime.

All three in December. I just like to buy stuff abroad, play with it for a while and then enrich the local market. Although somehow I constantly end up keeping more stuff than actually selling.

Oh man that Nikonos is so sweet. I have two and use them as regular above water cameras. Super for that. The 35 2.5 is a superb lens.
How was the Petri Color?

I need to fill a box and sell it. I have so much stuff it's ridiculous.

yup I have way too much stuff. A suitcase literally full of odds n ends. Stuff that when I see it, I have no idea when I got it or why.
Also need to keep on paring down ‘regular’ gear. Now that my only AF Nikon slr is an F6, and I have Sigma Art and Nikon G lenses, I’m going to unload my AF-D lenses - 50 1.4, 35 2.0, 24 2.8. Will try craigslist first so I don’t have to deal w shipping.

How was the Petri Color?

I liked the Petri Color 35, but did not like it enough to keep it. The main shortcoming is the lack of DoF scale anywhere, which made zone focus a bit more challenging. And the lens is ok. I actually like my zone focus Kodak Retina I with Ektar 50/3.5 much more, even more than the Rollei 35 TE with Tessar.

After I donated the Nikonos V, I got a much cheaper Nikons III with 35/2.5 for hot and wet occasions. I kinda dig the original Calypso style more, and III does not require battery at all. The battery cover for V can be a bit difficult, because of the o-ring and fear of mis-threading. The main thing III is missing from V is the lightmeter, which I am ok with it.

Ya, I am really careful screwing in the battery cap on the V. Just a wee bit off kilter and it mis-threads.
