What to replace Rollei Pan 25 with?

I have just finished my last roll of Rollei Pan 25. Sadly, I cannot find any of it anymore. What black and white (no chromogenic) comes close or to or surpasses its qualities today?

Got again the PDF for Caffenol. I haven't used caffenol for years now. I'd rather though try some conventional developer with it first to see how it does as a black and white film.

I can warmly recommend you to discover more from ADOX. After disappointing experience in the past with Adox fibre based paper (not available at the moment) I used last year four products of ADOX, which all were better than the comparable things from Ilford or Kodak, for a more reasonable price. They also bring out chemistry in small doses which is very sympathetic to try out things. My enthousiasm is about:
- the Scala 160 film (35mm), developed in:
- Silvermax
- the ADOX CHS 100 ii (4x5”), developed in
- FX39 ii

What strikes me in general are the rich and deep blacks resulting from these products, which is after all the beginning of prints with a nice tonal scale.

Cannot comment on Adox films as I haven't tried them yet, but their chemistry (FX-39 II and Adonal/Rodinal for film, Adotol Konstant for paper developing) is excellent.
Fresh batches via Fotoimpex every time and indeed the smaller sized bottles they also sell are very useful to me!
Also, the one pack of RC paper I tried printed perfectly fine even though it was explicitly sold as expired paper to be used for contact sheets only.
Next thing on the list will definitely be to try their films!

Thank you FS999 for the recipe chart. It look like delivering a great range of tones. I have been reading on that website about the Adox Silvermax film. It claims that with the Silvermax developer it can deliver a range of 14 zones (!) is that true? Does anyone have an example of such development of any BW film?

Personally I find the Silvermax film too grainy and it is not deliverable in 120 format, but it has a nice range :

Leica CL • Voigtländer Nokton classic 35mm F1.4 VM
Adox SilverMax 100 ISO film in home made Caffenol CLCS stand 60min @ 15°-20°C
