The lens, focal length 21", maximum aperture f/10, was made by Ross. The diaphragm control is typical of process lenses mounted on process cameras, and that's what it all looks like.

Glad to know it wasn't a field camera. Can you imagine??????? Wiki gave me enough details after you all identified this as a "process camera" Thanks again. It is a good thing to learn something new.
