What Printing Services Do You Recommend?

Unfortunately haven't started printing on my own yet so was curious what online or local printing service you all use to get nice, high quality prints from 35mm, 120 scans? Also any advice on the file type you use? Tiff, Jpg? Thanks!

Good luck with your quest, but you may find that APUG is not the place to ask this, because questions about digital printing are strictly off topic for the site.
APUG is going through a major re-vamp that will permit greater integration with other, digital resources (for those who want that integration) but for now, APUG's much quieter sister site - DPUG.ORG - would be a better choice for your request. You will need to register there separately, although you can use the same user name.

blue moon camera and machine ( an apug sponsor ) can process your film
and print with an enlarger like you would at home ( optical prints )
they can do this minox size to much bigger ..

I think there is also an Ilford service located in California (there certainly is one at Ilford UK)

Dodge Chrome in Silver Spring, Maryland, still does wet-lab developing and printing.

These are all wonderful responses. Didn't know any labs did prints from negatives. Thanks for the advice.

Based on what I have seen my local mini-lab do, I'd say that if they know what they are doing, C41/RA4 labs can do a reasonable job producing B&W prints on RA4 paper from B&W negs. Their usual problem is not being able to develop trad B&W film. If this is the case and if you cannot manage B&W film processing then chromogenic C41 B&W film may be the way to go. Then a C41 lab can do the lot.

Some mini-labs in London provide a B&W processing service like West End Cameras.

My minilab hand process B&W and we scan using a Pakon F135 and print on Fuji Archive RA4 paper and the prints have NO colour cast.

BTW I am in the sticks on the west coast of a country that's on the periphery of Europe ! ! !

Unfortunately not all minilabs / labs care about what they do or have the interest and knowledge to provide a full film service.
