We have a thread about what we purchased but what about all the stuff we've seen but didn't purchased?
It can be anything related to photography, as long as you didn't purchased it and that it wasn't on the internet.

I'll begin, today I've seen a Brownie Reflex, a Minolta Hi-Matic 7, a Busch Pressman and an enlarger with film carrier (I think it was an Omega).

I went to my local camera shop yesterday to pick up an ink cartridge for my Epson 3880. It was out of stock. I didn't see anything else that I couldn't live without, and left empty handed, which is not unusual.

Visited my dope peddler yesterday and brought home just the necessities. Left behind a Ranger 9, DeJur 8mm, Linhof tripod, spare bulb for my "middle" Carousel, yellow-green 49mm filter, Rollei IR and Delta 3200 film.

But you saw the thread about the Wat-Air washer I got. Also got some film, 49 mm orange filter (my old one got cruddified). Replacement bulb for my new Carousel (previous owner put a spare in the case and I had to replace it when I first turned it on). Also got a 32 ounce Kodak glass beaker. Finally have a set of three. Could be good not having to mix stop bath while developing... or it could foreshadow something bad like now I might mix all three and use them in the wrong order (never happened to me before because I always had one less beaker than I needed)

"Dope Peddler" hahaha I like that.

Hey Come here... I got some new high quality stuff for ya. It's made in Germany by an "artisan", it's called glass plates. (whispered*).

Saw a Nikon N70 with digital back and panorama switch on bay for a low low price and free shipping. Alas I really am scraping barrel bottom so I passed it up and bought eclipse glasses.

I have the king of things unpurchased (regretfully) stories:

It was 1985, and my wife and I were just starting out together, relatively poor... living month to month. For fun, we'd hit garage/yard sales/flea markets/antique stores about once a month. We were each budgeted $25.00. We'd often end up with bags of books, records, knickknacks... One afternoon, we stopped at an antique store. She eyed 8 old French brass lenses. At the time, I knew nothing about those oldies (still don't know much). I remember looking at them, amazed by the size of some. The smallest was about 3 inches long, the largest probably 12-16 inches. There were Waterhouse stops for some. There was matching fancy French script on each. She asked if I could use them. I said, "no, they don't have shutters". She thought they'd make great candlesticks, so asked the price for all of them. We were told we could have all of them for $300. Well above our budgets, so we passed. Probably for the best, as she'd have probably turned them into candlesticks...

The enlarger I mentioned earlier, the seller told me that folks buy 'em to make lamps...

A Zeiss Contax II
Decided at the last instant that I didn't need another camera.
(I have no idea of what possessed me to consider need over want)

Saw an unidentified 8x10 enlarger (sign said Kodak, I can't google a picture to verify during lunch here), a bit musty but looked serviceable with a lot of elbow grease and real grease for the parallelogram mount.
Did not un-see the $900 from my wallet someone wanted for it  (that and I have zero use for something that big)

A friend loaned me a Kiev 88cm with a few lenses to try out before purchasing. I need to call him to come pick it up.

Solar filters. I want to see the eclipse, not fiddle with a camera for that two plus minutes.

use the media of an old 5.25 floppy disc doubled over.

a few GAS attacks in the classifieds turned down my offer to buy because the sellers wouldn't take a postal money order. I don't do pay pal.... they must have consulted with my wife!

Today I rescued a Bestwell Magnasight from a friend who was going to toss. A little Windex and it's good as new. That makes 4 Magnasight focus aids I have. Just in case.

was not today, but some time ago I did not buy a lovely, near-mint, working as a charm Retinette for €30... which was a very bad decision, I think :-(

Anyway, I have enough cameras to keep me happy!

Today I've seen a Praktica Super TL with a Pentacon 50mm f/1.8. The shutter release button was on the "Locked" position so I unlocked it for the next passerby. ( :outlaw: Yeah a real Vigilante loll )

I found a Leica IIIc and IIIa that I did not purchase- were given to me, both requiring some work. But I did not purchase them... The IIIc has new Leather now, and the IIIa is working again. Slow-speed escapement cleaned/lubed, old Sync add-on removed- was snagging the shutter, old sync screw holes covered.
