I would say that is one of their FD mount autofocus lenses. There were I think four, three zooms and a standard. I'm guessing it's a 35-70 zoom.

Yes. The user pushed a button and a servo-motor built on the lens did the focussing.

That's a T80, btw; bad resolution on the sale photo. Only the T80 was made to be compatible with those early (Canon's first) autofocus lenses.

Cheers,

It is an autofocus lens that I would assume is from Canon and made for the T80. However, years ago my wife bought me a autofocus lens for my T70 which is a Vivatar lens. It looks very similar to the one in the photo and as mentioned in an earlier post it was activated by a button on the side of the lens and was powered by four AAA batteries. It takes very nice photos and I still use it quite a bit, in fact it is mounted to the T70 as I type.

That's actually pretty cool, I might have to grab one of those when I go FD

The Vivitar autofocus lens is, as the very first Canon FD autofocus lens, self-contained.
The three lenses for the Canon T-80 however are steered by an AF sensor-/controll system within the camera body.
