I picked up one of these online, unfortunately almost every lens element had scratches on them inside and out. It's quite the monster of a lens... I never looked for another after returning this one.

The Turner-Reich 12" convertible was actually my first large format lens purchase, recommended by Jim Galli a few years ago. It came in a working shutter (alas, one shutter blade was broken from its pins and could not be repaired: I find I can still use it under most circumstances without the shutter) with a good aperture, and was very clean, for under $100 shipped! Its a very satisfying lens to work with (I happen to like older, uncoated lenses), and I should use it more often.

I really don't lust after much anymore. Cameras don't really matter that much to me anymore. I've always wanted a Practika LTL ever since I saw the movie Unbearable Lightness of Being. I wouldn't mind an Ebony either. That would be nice. I am pretty happy with everything I already have. It is fun getting new stuff though... I guess I wouldn't mind having a Noctilux. Not that I would ever use it, but then I would be popular on the Leica forums. Lol.

Nor do I lust for any equipment. This is the analogue section so I have a Hassie with the 80mm, so maybe in a year or so a 50mm. That will be my kit all up, I don't do much portraiture to want the 150mm. My RB67 I already have a 3 kit lens so I am happy.

I should be outside with my camera and shoot more.

"I've always wanted a Practika LTL ever since I saw the movie Unbearable Lightness of Being." I have a Praktica LTL. Its a nice shooter, tough, reliable and has probably the best implementation of stop-down metering out there. Used examples are cheap!

A Canon EF 50mm 1.0

Friend got one and I think it would be pretty amazing.

The one lens to rule them all: the 50mm Summilux f/1.4 chrome

Oh yes.... Juliette Binoche.
