Introduced in 1930, the Angulon is the original Schneider wide-angle lens..
Second. It replaced the Dasykar.

For now, yes, a good price. But once upon a time I bought 20 F.135 38 Biogons, in batches. The last batch of 10 cost $580 delivered. If it’s a rebadged Zeiss, that price is a steal. If it’s one of those made under license, I would think Ilex has a decent quality, maybe on par with Fuji or Nikon... or am I wrong? If the quality is good enough, the price still looks good to me.

Tell it to Schneider! LOL!Second. It replaced the Dasykar.
Sorry, no. I have the one that Steve Grimes reshuttered (F.135 shutter to Copal 0) and one in F.135 shutter against the evil day when something bad happens to the one in Copal 0.And don’t you happen to have a leftover to send to your buddy down here in Brazil?I would pay for it.

Nowadays 38/4.5 Biogons removed from aerial cameras are quite uncommon. They still come to market, but less and less often.
Congratulations and good luck with it.I’ve got that one from Austria. I made an offer and I’m getting it shipped to Italy, where I am right now!
I don't think the Angulon 6,8 are fully symmetrical. At least not the 90mm - I have combined 2 rear groups from two of these and got abt. 75mm focus. I seem to remember I've read in a Schneider leaflet that they are designed as convertibles (but can't find it now). By the way, I've tried two 210's and found them horrible. I.e. the coverage is very uneven with fine central sharpness, but ugly just a bit out from center. But for anyone making contacts they may ofcourse cut it?When I got my own 8x10, I went up to a 300 Fuji W as my only lens. The 210mm would have been too wide for me as an only lens. I now have a Fuji W 250/6.7. Also a nice little 210mm/6.8 Graphic Raptar Wide Field Lens (barrel) that does cover 8x10 and works well with the lenscap shutter under the redwoods, so I am not desperate for a 210mm in a shutter. It just would be nice for 4x10 work out in the sunshine.
Funny thing -- just searched for some info on my 210mm/6.8 Graphic Raptar, and it sounds like it might have a similar design as the 210 f:6.8 Angulon.
Congratulations and good luck with it.
I had mine put in shutter by Steve Grimes, and so did a number of my buyers. I don't know who in Europe, let alone Brazil, can do the work. This is absolutely not to say there's no one, rather that I'm ignorant.
When you can, please tell us more about the lens. I never saw the inside of Charlie's camera ...I just arrived at the hotel and the package was waiting for me in the room.
There’s this guy in São Paulo that makes adapters and/or adapts still photography lenses to cine cameras. I believe he can do the work for me. He has done excelent jobs for a friend of mine.
I even have a Seiko #0 shutter. I believe the measurements for the Seiko are the same as for Copal shutters...
Just look for an old Kodak folder that says "Made in Canada"Canadian 35 1.4 in M mount to match my Canadian M4-2.
Not lusting, but it will be nice to take pictures in Ontario with lens and camera made in Ontario.
Just can't afford it.
They made 120 format Brownies in Toronto.Just look for an old Kodak folder that says "Made in Canada"![]()
I've got a 180 2.8 AF-D, I think it's the same formula as what you seek. Phenomenal lens, small fast, built in lens hood. I never understood why anyone would want a $8000 200 f2 VR whatever, when the 180 2.8 is so elegant . Newer lenses leave a lot to be desired. I have used this lens on a D3,D5, D800. Never let me down.A simple one. Nikon 180 f2.8 ED Ais. Why? Reputation for stellar performance.
